Thought id post some photos of my trophy room now that it is getting closed to being finished.

Sadly I can't seem to find so many before photos but I'll post the one I found anyway. The floor and walls looked about the same when I started this project, same colouring and tiles everywhere. It used to be a plumbers shop so it was pretty run down.

Stripped the walls and the floor and tore out a V shaped double door (can see the marks in the ceiling).

Turned out pretty nice I think.

Tiny ten corner:

Wall o pigs (Need to shoot more!)

Predator floor:

Springbok pillar

Blesebok pillar

The windows and below the windows will be covered with a dark wood ribbing and the lights in the ceiling will be replaced.

It is pretty generic at the moment but I plan on installing a fair bit of Africana as it arrives and I find what I want to give it a more personal touch.

Now I just need for the rest of my trophies to arrive (full mount cape grysbok, full mount blue duiker, eland floor piedestal, mountain reebok wall piedestal) And also two zebraskin high wingback chairs with ottomans and a kuduhorn/zebraskin table from my last trip down to SA

I will update as soon as I get something more done in there. Doubt the trophies will get back earlier then september/october though

But I have some European trophies that will go up soon aswell.

But lights and some other stuff will go up within the next month or so. Got 4 kuduhorns I'm turning into wall lights so those will go up too.

Love to see the little kiddies faces when I tell them the reason they don't make Timon and Pumba anymore (yes, I know its not a meerkat but close enough...)

The Blesbok is what I call a "facemount" and is in my opinion a nice way to mount something that normally would be a skull. Atleast you get to see a bit of the colouration and what the animal really looks like. I'll post some closeups later if you are interested.

The top springbok is also mounted this way.

Since many of the African plains game have interesting facial markings this looks like a good way to capture it.
It's nearly a head mount.
