now thats a broadhead. Forrest

that's going to look shit hot and shiney when your done ,mate
awesome stand
if your selling them im ordering one right now

It never ceases to amaze me how creative people can be.

That is a great stand.

It's super creative, but being in the business of safety, I would pass. Somehow I could see someone hurting themselves on it.

I'm not even a bow hunter and I love that!!!

Now I want to use a muzzy to shoot a kudu! Crazy good mount. Nice job.

So for those if you who get taxidermy completed abroad where do you get your wooden pedestal bases from?

It doesn't make sense to buy in Africa and ship them. Do you buy at a taxidermist locally, custom made through wood working, or other source? I know that many of you are talented enough and make them yourselves, but that ain't me!!!

This is my last piece of planning and I need some guidance. :)

check your email I gave you a good place to look.

I make my own but some places you can buy them cheaper finished then I can make them for. Some of the wood prices are crazy high when you dont buy in big volume.

Thanks Bill!

I'm reaching out to them as all of the stuff on the website seems to be for deer, not buffalo. I don't want it to look like I'm mounting a head on a stick!!!

I'm actually getting one made in Africa by the taxidermist who has a woodworker. I asked for customized with a door on the front with a raised cutout of Africa on it. I'm sweating it hoping it turns out.

I thought the same thing about shipping but they tell me once you have a big crate it is very little to add a bit extra. Labor difference is huge!

Hmm.... That's interesting Bob. Will need to ask about that. I thought there was no way it would be worth it. I won't have more than two pedestals and probably just one.
