Just the sound track takes me back to sitting in the blind.

Thanks.

Great footage. Thanks

Brickburn, yes, the sounds and smells make the hunt.

Poor buggers are just tormented by insects. Great footage Christophe!

I think this us an amazing animal. Can someone help me understand where you go to hunt this beast? Are there any in South Africa?

CAR and the Congo I believe, at least as far as the biggest places to hunt, although I'm sure there are other countries too. None in SA that I'm aware of.

Look for hunts in the Cameroon Area seen some offers from there. trophy fee about 3500 euro which isn't bad it the 45000 euro in daily fees that gets you.

This map will give you a general idea of where they may be found.

Hunting currently CAR, Cameroon are your best bets to chase a Bongo.

Not really in RSA unless they are in a private collection. I have not heard of any being hunted in RSA.

Thank you Brickburn! I have to add this to my list.

I love those Spiral Horns.
Not an easy hunt nor an easy access. Part of the charm, but not for the faint of heart for sure.

Movie already deleted...AGH...Bongo would be an amazing adventure. One lottery ticket away.

CAR has seen some heavy conflict and Many Outfitters departed and stopped operations.
Most shifted to Cameroon. Some opportunity in Congo. (not DRC)

CAR is now closed to hunting due to the local "disagreements". Outfitters departed.
As far as I know Alain Lefol is still operating in CAR.

That's brave

Here is an email that I received from Alain on 11/9/16.

That charter plane will allow them to fly over much of the problem.

Where is their camp?

Until this guy posts something on pay it forward free I would avoid him at all costs.

If it hasn't sold by next week I might be interested. Stock would have to be changed along with some other items. I'm already having a 416 Rigby built so money is a tad bit tight.

Hey pal! I'll take all the .375 bullets if they're available.
Thanks!
