There is a very large lion in my Umgusa area close to Bulawayo which has killed 3 steers in last 2 days. It was seen by a friend of mine who went out to do the PAC last night , it responded to a caller and came close to the vehicle but when a light was put onto it , the lion took off... anyway he said it was a very big male which stayed in the area responding to the caller but staying in the tree line where you could only see its eyes now and again. I have a tag for this lion , does anyone want to bring a client to hunt this lion ASAP?? Try call me if you can. Otherwise sadly it will be taken care of as a PAC...

This would not be a typical hunt per say, so obviously its not a 100% guarantee OK . But this lion has been around in the general area for over 3 months and I think that if one was to spend the time and put sufficient baits out as well as call this lion I reckon you will have a good chance at getting it now as we speak. This would need to take place ASAP.

Pay for your baits on the ground whether its local livestock made available in area or beef quarters from abattoir will be at your cost. PH and staff fees work on $ 500 a day this is to cover fuel and basic supplies. If and when yo get the lion then Trophy fee will be US$ 10 000.

Please email me if interested as I will be out of town on a Leopard hunt in a different location but through my office in town I can coordinate this hunt for you if need be.

Regards

My Leer Jet is in the shop of I would be on the way.

This would be a waste to have this Lion "taken care of by PAC".

Someone get on it.

So he is fully exportable?

These can be very rewarding hunts if you have the ability to drop what you're doing and leave on short notice. I'm fortunate to have hunted lion on multiple occasions over the years and two of the hunts took place in a manner similar to this. Both hunts were in Zim with one in particular being very exciting and quite unforgettable. As Wayne stated there can be no guarantee, but what true hunt ever comes with a guarantee? The obvious advantage to these lion hunts is the general location and habit of the lion is already known and when acted upon quickly there's a high probability of success.

Call me old school, but I'll go for a high probability lion 'hunt' over a nearly guaranteed 'shoot' in an enclosure any day.

Excellent opportunity for someone!

The Price is right for a wild lion in Zimbabwe.

dang, And i am booked later this year for a SA safari...

Fantastic opportunity and price for a free range lion if a person has a flexible schedule.

Don't you wish you were still there Wheels?!

Don't I ever.

This lion has been around for a couple of years. He was coming into a different concession than I was hunting occasionally and killing a cow then leaving after a day or two. I believe he has been coming back for an easy meal more often this year. When I was there he didn't come in and kill any livestock. I told Wayne I would drop the elephant hunt to go for this lion if he killed something when I was there. (I was thinking USFW would stop the importation of lion before elephant. Shows how little I know.) If I remember correct this lion was seen while I was there but he didn't kill any livestock and was gone. Four lions went through that concession while I was there but didn't kill anything to hold them. Not sure if the big male was part of the four or not.

Work is keeping me from being on a plane right now. If this lion is still around in six months and something like this happens, I will be sweeting talking my wonderful wife!

This is truly an amazing price for a free range lion. I doubt you could find one for double this price with triple or quadruple being the norm. Even more in Tanzania. This is probably cheaper than a pen raised lion if he will hold on the kills/baits and not leave. Plains game day rates for a lion...... Hope some hunter is able to take advantage of this instead of Wayne having to destroy it.

All the best.

Jeff I think Wayne is of Leopard hunting.
Email him to get him or you may miss out.

Thanks brother, I believe I did email him by starting a conversation with him. I have been absent from the site here for awhile and I have just begun to use it again since the upgrade took place so I'm a bit unfamiliar with the new format.

I'm in Africa working at the moment but I will have a few weeks off beginning one week from now...

This hunt is something that I'd truly love to do but plans would have to be made pretty quickly.

Like Tom asked, I am curious to know if the lion is fully exportable.

thanks again,
Jeff

Depends on his settings.

I hope you can work it out to arrange the hunt.

This is a wonderfull opportunity!

Wayne's wife just let me know that someone is out hunting this cat and I hope we can hear about a good result for this hunter. If not, perhaps someone else will get a chance.

Wheels shared this same info with me Brickburn and I wish the hunter a safe and successful hunt.

If he doesn't connect with the lion however, I am seriously ready to take on this hunt immediately.

Just checking in to see if any new news about this hunt or results?

I dunno K-man...
I did everything I could but failed to even get a response from the op.
Pretty disappointing when your interests to someone's post of an offer are ignored.
It will likely be quite difficult to get my attention a second time.

Jeffpg, I do not think that Wayne is "ignoring" you, he is out of internet connection somewhere in the bush.... its a struggle we have to live with in Africa my friend, he will for sure contact you when he get back to civilization.... the good thing is that nobody ells can contact him and book the hunt... :D:)...

Sorry Jeffpg I did not see that the post is nearly two month old.... that was a bit strange. If you want I can try to get in contact with him ? But probably this specific problem lion is already taken care of.. hopefully the silence do not have anything to do with that the lion take care of Wayne....o_O..
