How do you KNOW you've finally found the right girl? How do you KNOW she is the one? How do you KNOW she wont be like the others?--Well you just KNOW; but if you really needed conformation, you certainly KNOW when she says, "Lets Safari for our honeymoon"!

Here's how it happened, after an ugly divorce and a couple of crazies from online dating, I had pretty much decided I wasnt ever going to get married again. I was happy with that. Then one night while searching the gun auction sites an add for the dating site I had used "popped up". I thought I was "X"ing it out but I missed and there SHE was as one of the daily picks. Suddenly I just knew I had to see her. I didnt read her profile. I didnt care. I think we both knew on our first date. So after a little more than a year we were married. When we talked about honeymoon destinations, places like Kenya to climb Mt Kilimanjaro, and Kathmandu to see Everest (no not to climb) came up then she said it!

She knew I wanted to go back to Afrika. She knew I wanted to make a DG hunt and she wanted to be there with me on OUR HONEYMOON! I knew she loved to travel. I knew she loved nature; but she wasnt a hunter so I never thought about a safari for our honeymoon. So we compromised (wow just like couples are supposed to do...). We're headed to Kimberly in September for a hunt, then up to Zim to see Victoria Falls, then Cape Town for more touristy things.

Now all I have to do is convince her to wear the pith helmet as we stand side by side facing a charge shooting together with her hair blowing in the breeze. How cool will that look on the video???

Yep she's the one!

Don't push your luck! o_O

Rejoice in what you have.

Congrats!!! I've been in exactly your shoes with the divorce from an unsuitable partner, then deciding to not marry again. But for a year and a half now, I've been dating a very good one and may have to rethink the wedding thing!

Have an awesome honeymoon!!!

Congrats, enjoy the safari!

Vic Falls is a great experience any time of year, but there might not be much water coming over the falls in September. If you have space in your luggage, get a "Big 5" wood carving. The street vendors around the falls sell them in all sizes.

As a fellow divorce-turned-husband-again I congratulate you! I introduced my wife to the world of shooting when we were dating and now practically every weekend is spent at the range or at a sports store! Glad to hear you got a keeper as well, best of luck!

Best of luck to you! I hope everything goes well!

She wasnt a shooter and didnt understand why we "needed" assault rifles and high capacity magazines BEFORE we met. Last year she got roses and a case of 9mm for Valentine's Day and a Glock for our "First Date" anniversary. She's a real sport, she loves Wild Boar and Venison. Im not sure she'll ever be a big hunter; but she likes to tag along.

My wife of 26 yrs ran off,,good,,lol.Met a girl on Match and she Wrote a book " Alaskan Honeymoon Adventure " after a week in our drop camp for my caribou and the nice black bear she took,,just the two of us...That was 14 yrs ago and 2 trips to Africa and another book "Dreams of Namibia "...Nothing like your wife and hunting partner..They are out there guys..

I would be interested in it if you pass. Please send me the info on the gun shop if you do not buy it. I have the needed ammo and brass.
Thanks,
Ross
