    Hi everyone,

found this site just browsing the web. Just a little about myself, I have hunted and visited Africa 7 times starting in Botswana in 1990 where I hunted along the Caprivi strip, then moved onto the Transval, followed by Zululand, Zimbabwe, the Cape and my last trip was with a camera in SA 2 years ago. I have taken two of the big five, Elephant and Buff.

I have also hunted Finland for Moose, and Capercallie.

I am a professional deer stalker/manager/hunter in the UK, and have taken clients hunting for all 6 species in the UK over the past 35 years so if anyone wants to come over and hunt the highlands of Scotland or the shires of England let me know if you need any advice or help.

Good hunting everyone and keep safe.

    Best wishes

    U.K. Hunter.

Depends on what species you are after.

Highlands of Scotland for Red Stag and Sika Stag, the best time is in the rut, so from late September through to October the 20th.

There is also a huge amount of history and sightseeing to be undertaken, across the whole of the UK. But in general most hunts are a weeks duration with two animals Red Stag and Sika Stag, on an 8000 acre lease in the NW highlands of Scotland, and not too far from the famous Glenmorangie distillery!

If you want to look at some photos please go to UK Outfitters & Deer Management

    Best wishes

Welcome to AH! There are plenty of people on here looking to hunt Europe. It's just a natural progression, if you can hunt in Africa....you can fly across to Europe to hunt red stag, fallow deer, CWD, etc.

We have some good Fallow on my main lease, and all 4 colour phases, however getting a big boy is not an easy task and the only time you stand a reasonable chance is during the rut, which is mid October to the end.

Hunting them in the early morning or late evening around a rutting stand with the buck grunting is very exciting.

The Pere David are on fenced areas I am afraid, there are none fair chase in the UK and they can be very expensive trophies to take. I have a private area that holds a reasonable herd and the prices are lower than most places in the UK. I also have Manchurian Sika available up to Gold medal. It is a walk and stalk hunt but it is fenced, so not everyone's cup of tea as we say over here.

    Best wishes

    U.K. Hunter

I fixed the issue... The 2 usernames UKHunter and U.K.Hunter are so close that something must have happened with the system during registration which happened also to take place on the same day. The avatar showed to be the same on the site but not in the admin section of the site... Thanks spike for pointing this out.

Ahh I was wondering why there was an Avatar that was nothing to do with me

I am not related to the other gentleman but he is correct in that I am one of the main owners of another website called The Stalking Directory based in the U.K.

    Thank you.
