Does your Children participate in conservation as much as you do?

You people are so lucky ..... My young lad (26 now ) never took to the hunting or fishing .... I don't love him any less though .

Quick question for all you parents: where do you guys get the guns for your kids? Do they just use youth models or are you looking for certain special things in guns when you buy them? The reason why I ask is becuase I am trying to get my niece out shooting and I want to get a gun she can use.

Saul thank you for a great question.

I personally did not buy a new rifle for DJ, he uses my old 7x57 Mauser.
At first he shot the gun with not suppressor/silencer fitted but I soon realized the recoil was a bit to much for him.
I then decided to have a suppressor fitted, this made a huge difference to the recoil.

a Very good friend of mine bought a .222 for his daughter, I believe it's a great calibre for any youngster to hunt medium size game with. I recently guided her on an Impala hunt and she made a perfect shot at 65yards.
