From Russia, Alex Lebedev and his young son Alex Jr were accompanied by our longtime friend and Russian agent Mike Shukis on a Rhino bull hunt at Wintershoek Private Game Reserve. Alex just needed to hunt a Rhino to complete his Big 5 dangerous game of Africa. Professional Hunter John Tinley reported that it was a very good and exciting hunt

It was at the SCI show in Las Vegas in 2012, that we had the privilege of meeting Timmy and Veronica Bueno from Kailua Hawaii. The entire WJVS team that was at the show, were excited to hear that out of all the Outfitters under the convention roof and not knowing who to go with to experience their 1st ever African adventure; Tim and Veronica chose WJVS as their preferred African destination as we fitted their requirements perfectly!

WJVS was thrilled to once again host Richard and Alexandria Sawyer from Washington DC USA on this their 2nd visit to Thuru Lodge having joined us last year great to have you back again!! This time round Richard and Alex planned to do some hunting and combine their trip with some exciting touring and site seeing with Mardoret and Braam; no doubt everyone had an absolute blast! In actual fact the Sawyers have re-booked to come back already in November this year

From Atlanta Georgia USA, Walter and Barbara Drost, came to our booth in Reno through a strong recommendation from our mutual and longtime friend and client Taylor Jones. It would be Walter and Barbara's first visit to WJVS in South Africa, having been on a safari once before in Namibia. Once again Mardoret and Braam had the privilege of not only showing the Drost's a great safari at Thuru lodge, they also opted at taking a guided tour before their hunt began to get over the jet lag

From Texas USA, the TNT Outdoor Explosion host, Todd Cast and his wife Tia and 2 daughters Taryn and Tori joined WJVS for their 1st hunt with our company at Wintershoek and Thuru lodges. Todd has hunted many times in southern Africa and is indeed a very experienced hunter. We were also thrilled to hear that Todd was bringing over a group of 6 hunters with him to experience what the Northern Cape area of South Africa has to offer Todd and his friends.

Our Spanish agent and Pro Hunter friend Tomas De Castro hosted 2 of his clients from Spain on a fun filled safari at Wintershoek and Thuru. 1st timers to South Africa Maxi & Vanessa Carril hunted together with PH Strauss and Tomas and they had an absolute ball of a time in both areas. Reports from our clients that were relayed from the sticks; that plenty of game was encountered during their hunt, outstanding accommodations backed up by an awesome staff?/B]

WJVS was honored to host our first ever bow hunter from Spain, Enrique Perez on a hunt at our exclusive and fabulous bow hunting area Linksfontein lodge. Although Enrique has bow hunted 15 times in RSA it was his dream to collect a few species that he hasn't managed to bag on previous hunts. PH Phillip Coetzee and Spanish Agent Tomas De Castro helped guide Enrique to the trophies that he sought.

Always an absolute pleasure seeing Carlos and Maria Ortiz from Mexico at the SCI conventions every year for, oh! what is it now? the past 20 years or so! They have hunted with our WJVS Outfit at least 6 times which includes countries like RSA, Zimbabwe and Tanzania... amazing!! However, this year saw a new era grace the convention floors and South Africa?/B]

From Kennewick Washington USA, Ron Hanson arrived at our Gamagara camp on his dream come true 1st ever hunt in Africa, armed with a .375 Ruger and a .300 Win Mag with precision hand loads. Ron was ready and well prepared to tackle the African bush with Ph Lash LeRoux. At 64 years young Ron did extremely well out in the bush to hunt and bag 13 different species of game.

It was indeed a great pleasure to welcome 2 couples from Spain on this their 1st time safari to South Africa; Jesus & Pilar Rodriguez and Agustin & Asun Colino. The couples were accompanied by our lady friend who is also from Spain, Anna Rodigo on this her 3rd visit with Wintershoek Safaris. Special thanks must go to Taxidermist Julian Burgos who has also hunted with our company for recommending such superb folks to us.

From Lewistown Montana USA, Dave Robertson and daughter Becky McKennett took the plunge and flew over the big pond to come and experience what South Africa has to offer on safari. This was Dave and Becky's first hunt in Africa and Wintershoek Private Game Reserve was the area designated to Dave and Becky to tackle.
