Apologies, I should have mentioned I do bowhunting although I do not mind if you want to rifle hunt the buff.

Brickburn: Preferably grizzly, but black will do.

Zenbear: Thanks, maybe in the future but not at this stage.

Should also include I am not an outfitter, but hunt them with the bow on a regular basis i.e. I have taken 10 the past 12 months with the bow and have been around another few successfully hunted.

    Eugene,
Here is the depressing news for your Grizzly hunt dream.
To swap a hunt with a "non guide" outfitter:
In BC Canada you will need to be related to the individual who would "accompany" you, even if you could get a tag.

Permit and Authorization Service Bureau ? Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations ? Province of British Columbia

So, that leaves you with the cheapest Grizzly hunt I have seen is $20,000.00 USD in BC. (Not that I know every outfitter.)

    Alberta closed all Grizzly hunting.

Yukon has closed north slope hunting except for 7 tags given to the local native population.

So, that takes care of Canada and will in effect leave you with Black Bears which are more plentiful and they can be baited in some jurisdictions.

I'll send your email along to someone I know who may be interested in swapping a Black Bear hunt with you.

    Good luck.
