I am looking for Booth Numbers of members who are displaying at the 2012 Dallas Safari Club Convention.

I am only spending 2 days at the convention and I am putting my agenda together and want to visit our members first.

Good plan James.

Hi James - I'll be in booth #2713 - stop by and say "Hello"!

Hey James,

We will also be in Dallas. Our booth number is #2832. Come by for a drink or someting to bite.

Looking forward on seeing you there!

Best regards,

Jacques

James, Come by our DSC booth to say hi, #2331 and 2333, see you there!

Kowas Hunting Safaris is looking forward welcoming you to booth number 1956, Hall E.

I got an inspiration the other day and thought I would have a look.
I decided to look at the Exhibitors list for DSC 2012 and cross reference it with the complaints of hunters on AH.

I think people assume, as I have in past, that there is some type of screening that goes on before anyone can be an exhibitor at one of these shows.

NOT!

Pay your money and you get space, as illustrated by the Application Contract Exhibitors have to fill out.

This is the only restriction I can find in the contract:

"Exhibitor consents to DSC's right to prohibit any exhibit, Exhibitor or
proposed exhibit that, in DSC's sole opinion, is not suitable for the
Convention. DSC may exercise this reserved right at any time prior to or
during the Convention. The reservation concerns entities, persons, items,
audio or video digital recordings, images, printed matter, conduct and all
other things that may affect the Convention, DSC, its members or the
hunting industry. DSC reserves the right to prohibit from exhibiting at the
Convention any outfitter, guide or professional hunter who is not a member
in good standing of a recognized regional state, provincial or national
professional hunting association."

Yet, nowhere on the Exhibitor application form is any requirement to provide this information or proof thereof!!

So, on to the point:
There are FOUR outfits that have earlier or active complaints/concerns/issues against them by hunters that are exhibiting at DSC 2012.

Adam Clements-Safari Trackers, Inc. 1244-47
Frontier Safaris C510
Impala African Safaris 2654
Safrique, Lda. 1035/36

I am cross referencing publicly available information.

BUYER BEWARE!

We invite you to stop by at booth no 1956, hall E to say hello.
It is essential to be prepared otherwise you could leave the hunting convention being more confused than ever before!
Enjoy the fun and excitement of the Dallas Safari Club Convention...

I have all your booth number down to visit...

James, Good Luck on your Safari. I too will be @DSC you can find me near the Safrique Booth WARNING ALL!! not to book with this outfit. They do not deliver what they are selling, do not return deposits, do not pay their staff, and will not return email and or phone calls.

BUYER BEWARE!!! DO NOT BOOK OR PATRONIZE SAFRIQUE LDA

Well a turn of events ...

I have been called to jury duty the first 2 weeks of January and i do not know if i will be called...filling out the paperwork today to send back in to see if i will be selected...

This is my third time and you know what they say third times a charm...

James, no disrespect intended to you having to perform Civic duty but I hope you'r not selected for jury duty.

I was looking forward to meeting you and your wife, and had already informed my wife that my AH.com buddy was also attending with his wife and that they were coming for a visit.
My Agent has his wife attending and my good buddy from S.Carolina has his wife and young Daughter attending also, all in our booth !

Was going to be quite a crowd, but family orientated.

I secretely hope they find a reason to "excuse" you.

Cheers,
Paul.

Paul

My wife said the same thing today as i am filling out the form.

The section about family and close friends working for law enforcement and prosecution attorney offices probably will leave me out of the selection box. I had to go to a additional sheet to provide names and dates.

So i am thinking positive and am looking forward to meeting you and your wife.

James Hope your able to make it I just booked my room for the 6th and 7th the wife and I are going to be there for 2 day thought we might run into each other. Bob

Bob

Thank you for the warm post.

My wife keeps asking me about every other day to see if i have any news on my jury duty selection.

and i have not received any news at the present time.

I will post information when i have some.

and if i am able to make it i will post that and i do hope to get together with members to visit.

James I can't speak for New Mexico, but telling them that you will be on travel out of the state and unavailable works most places I have ever lived.
