Hunting with Ingogo Safaris in Limpopo
I made a mention of Ingogo and was asked to post some information about my experience. I have hunted with Ingogo 3 times, 2006, 2009 and June 2012, we have always been treated very well. They get alot of repeat clients, that alone indicates the quality of the outfit. Ingogo does plains game as well as dangerous game hunts, they have a great lodge and staff. Take your wife and kids. I'm sure there many good hunting outfits in SA but few that are better.

Nice Pics. Looks like you had a good time. The Bushbuck looks like a monster. Got some tales to tell of the hunt. We'd love to hear them. Bruce

Appearantly there is a market for porcupine meat over there. as we departed for a night hunt the manager told us to bring some back if we saw them, which we did. the biggest of the group weighed about 85 pounds. The funny part of the story, a day or two later we were out all day chasing blue wildebeast, we were on a good spoor and didn't want to give up for lunch, all we had was some water and a pack of peanuts. My wifes crew did go in for lunch to find that barbecued porcupine ribs were being served, they politely ate something else but had thier driver bring the ribs out to us. Well, we were hungry and we ate them. Lesson learned, pack more snacks in your day bag!!

Thanks,
It was a great time. The wildebeast that my wife shot was her first bow kill ever and she centerpunched it like a surgeon, it only went 50 yards, The 11year old daughter did well with her little 243. I didn't take my bow because I strained my arm and shoulder just days before we left so I stuck with my 375 ruger. I had hunted with my PH in 2009 and he had the trust in me to take several long shots, the Kudu and Bushbuck were over 300, the waterbuck was about 420.
We found a bushbuck that had been bitten by a mamba that was inches bigger than mine. It was a good time, now all I have to do is pay my bill.

I have been fortunate to have shot 14 bulls with bow and arrow so far. All of them were taken in Ontario Canada over the span of 18 years.
The past three years I have hunted unguided in tent camp with Dwayne Bolen of Thousand lakes outpost. He offers both guided and unguided hunts in an area that has a healthy moose population. He is a top shelf man with a passion for moose hunting.
You can contact him at: Thousand Lakes Outposts - Hunting @ Thousand Lakes Outposts
