Top notch hunt with Hartzview Hunting Safaris - Hunt Report

Having just returned from Namibia last august, I had no intention of returning to Africa so soon, but when good fortune knocks, I like to open the door!
Within a month of booking, we were on the plane and heading to South Africa to hunt with Jaques and the Hartzview crew! We had just arrived and started hnting the 1st afternoon, I quickly scored on a blue wildebeest and my friend took a dandy blesbuck! What a start!
The 1st morning of the actual hunt found us glassing from a ridge and looking over a a few exceptional Kudu in the valley below. The Kudu being surronded by numerous species we knew it would be a tough stalk! Undeterred and an hour later found us forty yards from a magnificant Kudu bull! A short coversation and the one shot from my 06, and I had the trophy I had the trophy of a lifetime! That night Jaques had another suprise in store for me, He mentioned he had lioness that needed to be taken, and as stated before, when good fortune knocks, I tend to open the door!
Two days of tracking, foot print by foot print, and jumping her up from 4 feet away (two foot for Jaques) and still was'nt able to get a shot the brush was so thick! The third morning and a close shot from the .375 H&H and we had our very hard won Lioness!
We continued the plainesgame hunt the next day and finished off with a black wildebeest and blesbuck for me and an Impala and blue wildebeest for my friend!
All in all , I can tell you this hunt was exciting, and rewarding! The quality and quantity of animals was amazing! The food and staff impecable! The accomodations were very comfortable, and well appointed.
The hunting was was almost all spot and stalk/tracking! It provides you with the chance to hunt them the traditional way! I would recommend Jaques and Hartzview to anyone that wants a quality experience, top notch service, and many fond memories that will last you a lifetime!
