GoAfricaHunting!
Hello new to the forum and want to hi, my dad just put a deposit down for a hunt in Limpopo with GoAfricaHunting. I was wondering if anyone has used them I think they are just a booking agent. Does anyone know what outfit and PH they use in Limpopo.
Thanks for the help

Welcome to AH may you have a great hunt.
Use the Outfitter button to see if anyone has use them and made a report. A useful tool when planning a African safari.
Use the search window for past forum topics that you think will help you in your quest. and then ask question like you have done to obtain information.

First they are not listed on AH and hove no reviews.
It looks like this is a top of the line lodge safari Operation. And prices are reflective of this.
You and your Dad will need to go over the: "WHAT PRICES ARE INCLUDED" and "WHAT PRICES ARE EXCLUDED"
Are you hunting 1 X 1 or a 2 X 1 and for how many days 7 - 10 - 14 days. If you are taking an observer/ companion along check this rate out.
You say you are going to South Africa and will be hunting the Limpopo Province?
Go Africa Hunting hunts in 4 African countries and different parts of South Africa.
Was the deposit for a Package deal or Daily rates and trophy rates? All tend to be on the upper side when looking at other PH's - Outfitters web locations.
What Was your Dad's and yours Trophy animal list?
You will need to have the Price list down and gone over before going depending on your budget.
Example:
PH X 10 days at 2 X 1 = $4,300 each
2 observers = $3,500 each
1 Kudu = $2,660 each
1 Plains zebra = $ 1,400 each
1 wildebeest = $1,120 each
1 Nyala = $3,080 each
1 common reedbuck = $1,680 each
As you can see the cost per animal varies and you will need to have a good idea of your trophy priority and possible extras you will bump into.

Welcome Epic.
Those are scary questions to be asking AFTER the deposit is down!!!
Based out of Oregon, USA you are right they are very probably agents.
Good luck with your hunt.

As far as I know the hunting is 5 days 2 X 1 it includes pick up and drop off at airport, lodging, food, drinks including beer & wine, daily laundry, trackers & skinners, field preparation and trophy transport to shipping agent. Animals included 1 warthog, 1 blue wildebeest, 1 impala each hunter. The cost is $2300 per person.
My dad put the deposit down at the International Sportsmen's Expo in Utah. He was told the deposit would stay in the USA and is refundable. He was told he would be sent more info so we can decide when in 2013 we want to go.
I was just wondering if anyone has used goafricahunting and how their hunt was.
Thanks

Looks like my dad might have to call his visa to get his money back. We have tried to call him with no response. Lucky he put it on his visa and will take care it. The goafricahunting web site looks like the real deal. And I have found an outfitter that uses them as there USA booking agent I think the outfitter was bushwacksafaris has anyone been hunting with them.

Epic don't get Discouraged yet it works a little different in South Africa and I don't know that this is the same guy just that there is another thread on here where a man booked a hunt paid the money up front with the promise that the money would stay here in the states and is refundable if your not happy the guy got to his hunting destination was pickup by the PH but no money had been paid to the PH so there where no preparations in camp very little food, unless your dad paid the full amount upfront then the rest is paid to the outfit upon arrival .

My dad was able to get hold of the guy today and get a little more info. It sounds like the guy is just a booking agent and works with landowners and outfitters. He said when we know the date for sure we want to go he will get more info on plane flights and what outfitter and PH we will be going with. So it sounds like all is still good I just didn't want my dad to be scammed.
Thanks for all the help

Epic,
A good agent our outfitter would have all those details on whom you will hunt on a contract. 2013 is quite a way off they could end up pushing/bullying your dad to go for another outfitter at higher rates and bigger package. $2300 per person is a good deal but no one knows what will happen in the world economy and if not set in paper or contract you have nothing to fall back to.
So force them to put something on paper even exchange on emails.

Epic Frederik has made a good point and as you can see by his Signature he's in the business as well. have your dad come up with a date that he thinks he can do and give it to this guy so he has to put it on paper with a contract I highly recommend April through July time frame better weather, if push come shove your dad will have the name of the Outfitter you guys will be hunting with and he can work with the outfitter to change dates if needed. never heard of paying a deposit (hope thats all he paid) and not getting a contract. within days of putting money down the outfitter would send you a contract with all of the details and Dates TBD.

Hey Epic if this guy isn't willing to work with your dad then have you dad go through his visa and get his money back. I see con all over this. then have your Dad take a look at this I know its for 2012 but for the price your dad is paying I willing to bet Willem will work with him for 2013.
