Amanita safaris is owned and operated by Erik Terblanche the property is located on the borders with South Africa and Botswana, Erik has been in the hunting industry since the late 80's and has always ran a good solid company with many return clientele, trophy quality is excellent Erik is a brilliant guide this most probably comes from some skills picked up during the Angolan bush war (when men where men) I thought I would add a plug as he runs his own little company and is not a gold digging outfit lke many others in Africa.
I hunted for Erik for a period of 6 years, you will have good safari.

Negative Terminator by no means, shape or form or way he hails from the Northwest province and has a very very solid relation with his clients, Have you still had no luck with these guys, I did a google search and the only guy by that name that seems to operate in S.A. is from Kwazulu Natal??? Am I correct in assuming that this is were you hunted?
Once again terminator Erik Terblance has a good buisiness I got rolled over by a Smith once but "YOU CANT TAR EVERYONE WITH THE SAME BRUSH" Someone on this sight tought me this. Amanita is a great very personable company, as any company little things slip is but it is how they are handled that sets you apart from all the rest.
Amanita has no affiliation whatsoever with the company you hunted with.

Fortunately for me I was warned off Dirk. Others on this site were not so lucky. And yes, Dirk operates in KZN from what I have gathered.
So Erik and Dirk are not brothers or relatives then? I guess if that is true he might be a stand up guy.

Did you have your trophies mounted there or brought back to the states. I asked Eric about a taxidermist there and he recommended Hatatri Taxidermy. Appreciate any help you can give as I have a hunt booked next year with him.
