The last of the three metalized trophies. This would've been posted earlier but my wife was showing it off all over town. The horns were polished and head "metalized" by Link River Taxidermy in Klamath Falls Oregon. Nyala was taken with Victor Watson @KAROO WILD Safaris Flash and no flash

The oribi and Steenbok were done by Link River. The duiker was originally done in South Africa and will be remounted in a similar pose and added to my tiny ten collection. I also will soon add the grysbok and klipspringer.

The dark plaque isn't helping with this display. My current plan is to do something with the plaque to help pull the colors. I will be posting my wife's later. It tuned out very nice.

The Hammers are supposed to be very easy to work up and tune a load for. Based upon my limited use, I think that is true.

I was in error regarding my plans with the 280AI and the hammer bullets. I thought I had three, 3 shot test loads ready but in fact I was still in the ladder stage. Shooting 143 grain Hammer Hunters behind IMR 4831, it looks like I have a load between 59 and 59.5 grains. I still have some more...

I just finished fireforming 97 280 Remington hand loads into 280AI brass out of a new Christensen Arms rifle. I also had 15 Nosler Trophy Grade ammo that I intermittently shot groups with. During the first 113 shots, the 280 Remington loads consistently out performed (by group size) the factory...

After using my credit union for years and having troubles with very inept service representatives, we tried Chase yesterday for the first time. Very quick and, as mentioned previously, they have some process where you can do it yourself if so inclined.
