Karl,
Because of world events associated with Covid-19, and measures implemented beyond my control in the days since my last post in this thread, I am at this time regretfully withdrawing my bid.
Thoroughly enjoyed your report.
Especially the photography.
Happy for you and your brother that you found "the one" and managed to arrow it.
Congrats!
Archery deer season opens here in AZ tomorrow morning. Hoping a little of your luck has rubbed off on me. :)
Be sure to spend some time looking over the shot placement guides for the critters you intend to target.
The vital zone on the animals there tend to be located a bit more forward than most North American animals.
Coming from a ranching/farming background myself, there are a couple points I would like to add.
Number one,
Disease transmission isn't a one way street.
Please consider taking the same precautions with your boots/personal hunting gear before your outbound flight from your home country as...
Hunting is an important tool in conservation's tool box worldwide.
Could we please have a dedicated forum on this website where we could share and discuss this critical component.
It would be great to have one forum where we could consolidate contributions on this subject from organizations...

Please forgive me Von Gruff.
Today is my 10th anniversary as a member of this fine website where I've met a lot of great folks and had a bunch of laughs.
I thought what better way to start the next 10 years than with a lighthearted contribution.
Thanks for the opening. :D Beers:
If a hunter adheres to the three basic rules of gun safety:
1. Treat every firearm as if it is loaded.
2. Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.
And
3. Be sure of your target, and what's beyond it.
Nobody would find themselves in the position of paying the price for shooting...
I wouldn't have been happy with the lack of accuracy either, understandable.
As I understand it, most all commercially loaded ammo here in the US is loaded to trap door pressures because of liability issues should they be used in some of the older rifles still floating around.
Unlike many...
Any one thing in particular that you didn't like about the rifle you had?
On another note completely,
I'm fascinated that you have hunted in Tunisia.
What did you hunt there?
As I understand it, the left barrel is "fixed" and a jack screw regulates the right barrel.
This, as opposed to a fine gunsmith soldering barrels together, firing, unsoldering, adjusting, resoldering, firing, unsoldering, adjusting, resoldering...
Boy I'll tell you that's the funny thing about the law of averages.
I know a couple folks who've made multiple trips as well and have yet to see a snake.
I saw 3 different snakes on my very first trip.
My thoughts precisely.
These rifles were also chambered in the venerable .30-06 Springfield, a rimless cartridge.
Widely available in the US is another story all together though, because as I understand it, there was a moratorium imposed on the importation of Russian firearms put in place here...
I should have it in my hands in a week or two.
The rabbits in my vegetable garden better make themselves scarce.:LOL:
I'll try to get a couple pics up after it arrives.
Wanted to buy Baikal double barreled side by side chambered in 45-70 Government.
New or used in good condition.
My Arizona FFL's are required to receive from another FFL only so if you have issue with this please disregard this query.
Post here or PM
Thanks
While the late Congressman may have been a champion of the 1950 Dingell-Johnson Act, the act itself was sponsored by, and attributable to his father John Dingell Sr.
@Paul Babaz,
Hi Paul, I am hearing through the grapevine that this suggestion may come to fruition.
Specifically, allowing the listing in the record books with a membership number rather than the contributors name is what I read.
Are you at liberty to comment?
Thanks for your time and effort.
@500 Nitro
I had another DOE/FAWN ANTELOPE (type 6) tag and a buck tag (type 1) in my pocket as well as the DOE ANTELOPE tag that is hanging on the DOE ANTELOPE in the picture above.:E Big Grin:
@500 Nitro
YES, in fact, if you look closely at the picture you will see an orange bandana wrapped around this doe pronghorn's leg, just above her right front hoove.
It is protecting the DOE ANTELOPE tag (which had been signed, notched, and attached through her leg) from being blood stained or...
