Watched from my home at an Army training base in Eastern Canada, ordered off leave and was placed on standby to deploy (Air Defence Artillery) to Ottawa. Up until then we never deployed inside the country, after we practiced routinely.
Congrats on the Bushpig and the Jackal, that must have been a very cool hunt! My Bushpig with Marius was truly a novel experience as we are not allowed to hunt at night here at home.
Keep the story coming, truly enjoying all of it!
Congrats on a great hunt and proper buff, thanks for taking us along. I hunted my buff with Marius as well and the experience is one I will never forget.
Unique knife above, what's the story with that one?
My noisy toes? I was actually wiggling my toes in my boots to get the blood flowing when i got the stare .... when you get the stare you will remember it:E Nono:
Did somebody say Bushbuck? Exactly when does my Bushbuck ban expire?
Best part of this hunt is going to be the story telling at the end of the day I would reckon, great idea!
Now that I look at my avatar and a few other photos, I Believe you are quite correct ... hate to have a photo of when I am mad like perhaps when I miss something:)
You’ve heard the expression “you can’t get enough of a good thing.” Well I am pretty sure that describes my relationship with KMG and hunting with Marius, as this is my sixth trip to RSA to hunt with KMG. Two years ago I went over to do one of Marius’s famous Cape Buffalo hunts. We decided on...
Ragman, congrats on your hunt, it was a great read .... I should be able to add on to the porcupine and bushpig saga once I finally get some time to write things up. Glad you had such a great time with Marius and KMG!
Ragman, i know how you felt about that Kudu, on my first hunt to Africa, that's what it was all about to me as well. If i ever stop getting the shakes or that flood of emotions, i'm going to hang it up. Congrats!
I just checked mine and it's 36" wide and 8 ft 4" height. As Enysse says above talk to your taxidermist though, i had mine made in order that we could get it into the house ... sure he'll be able to accommodate.
