It was amazing to see ourselves in the catalog. They never told us we were even in there. I am going to have to get some more of the catalogs so I can have them for keepsakes.

Right now the trip is still just a haze in my mind. We hope to go back as well but had to make the concession that we would take our 3 kids to Europe to visit friends in 2014. Hopefully we go in 2016...by then I should have all my trophies on the wall whispering in my ear to go back and shoot...

I have never reloaded before and am just getting started. I am trying to load 40 grains of IMR 4064. I have 150 grain Hornady sst bullets. It appears that the bullets are going to "sit" in the powder. Is this safe? And does anyone recommend a different powder or bullet? I am just making...

I did own a 7mag but just didn't like the recoil. I enjoy shooting my 308. I can "handle" the 7mag if I have to but don't like it. I just assumed the 300 win mag would be significantly higher in recoil.

I am not bringing my rifle to Africa. The outfitter is providing a Krieghoff Semprio in 300 win mag. I only own a 308 and am somewhat recoil sensitive. Should I continue to practice with the 308 or borrow something bigger to try to get used to the recoil?

You don't think they look like a horse at all? There is at least some sililarities.

Those are some amazing picutures. Did you have a problem shooting one even though they kind of remind you of a horse?

One other person suggested the Hartmann's zebra as well. I think I see a trend starting.

I will be hunting in Namibia in 2012. The animals in my package are kudu, gemsbok, jackal, warthog, duiker, springbok, and red hartebeest. Are there any other animals that are only found in Namibia I should consider taking since I am already there?

Any advice on proper shooting form for shooting off sticks? Never done it before just wanted some suggestions on how to stand, hold rifle, etc to make myself more steady.
