Dear Friends,
These questions and discussions around it was not to make anybody look bad or attack anybody at all. I am not judging anyone for the way they choose to run their business. It is purely to try and get a better idea of what you our potential clients think about the situation. The...
Next;
I hunt in most of the Southern African countries with clients. In every country there is something unique about the hunting experience. I personally cannot choose and put one above the other. Standing at the shows there is always without exception one question that comes up.
Is the area...
Thank you friends I sincerely appreciate all the input. It seems that the general consensus is that we will not get away from "cheap" hunts from desperate outfitters that just want to say I booked so many hunters for the season and 2 years down the line being out of business. I urge hunters to...
There is a big difference in my opinion between a "discounted" and "cheap" hunt.
TMS discounting a cancelled or quota left hunt is in my opinion legit. I am mostly speaking about the South African situation.
Hank you are not hijacking at all, appreciate your input. I think it is a chicken...
To all the hunting clients out there a question.
Being a Hunting Outfitter for 23 year in I have noticed that there has been a shift in the industry to many different directions. Lately it has become move in the cheapest possible hunt direction.
My question.
Is the quality of the Safari less...
It is a sad day were we have the "anti's" get the better over people that conserve. I wonder if they did any calculations to see how much the average hunter spends in a safari compared to a Photo Safari tourist in the same period. I am sure there is money that landed in pockets and not...
Bill, there's absolutely nothing wrong with shopping around and throwing numbers back so that outfitters have a second chance. If it's not worth their while, they'll tell you and may be able to provide an explanation of why there's is still the better hunt despite the price. That's the beauty of...
Jaco,
This is a friendly request from me personaly. Please let me know the date that will suit you. Come to our office in Thabazimbi and I will open my books for you, then you will have the facts. You are more than welcome to disagree.
Is it not promoted that on this web that the outfitter...
Very important point raised by Fredrik. We that make a living from hunting cannot compete with the business man that owns a property and can cut the prices way below our cost. That is not comparing apples with apples.
If you woke up is a good day

I think you are correct.
Very few clients come over for just a Kudu alone. The ones we had over the years have been here a number of times and were after a 60"+ and had no problem with the fees, especially after they got what they came for. We as a group decided a number of years ago that...
Dear friends,
Over the years the Safari industry changed significantly.
It is very difficult these days to get the profit margin over 10%. We as outfitters are on shows were the clients move from outfitter to outfitter comparing prices and negotiating for better prices. It is at the end of...
Thank you for welcoming us to your excellent forum. I will try my best to say something about us without offending, only facts. Been in business since 1992. We are based in Thabazimbi Limpopo Province. We legally hunt in bordering countries. We hunt on more than 500 000acres in our area. We...
Dear Brickburn,
I honestly appreciate your input and feedback.
My apologies if I came over to strong. As you know by now law of averages is that very few happy clients talk and the one client that no matter what you do that you cannot please stand on top of the mountain and screams to the...
Best Jaco,
I agree and disagree with you.
Firstly, I absolutely agree that service is the most important without exception.
Secondly, an outfitter will not be doing well if his service is bad. We all have intelligent clients that speak to each other in various ways.
Be Safe my friend
If you need references just ask and I will forward them to you. Yes in all the countries above South Africa and in South Africa we have Legal registered PH's that hunt with us.
Dear Tap,
There is absolutely now way in a million years that I will ever tell a PH that the client must not shoot trophy animals. Tap, we make money from animals that get shot. Secondly, Numzaan Safaris have been in business since 1992 and we currently have just over 260 clients on the books...
