I’m currently considering the same options and was wondering why the R8 owners are removing the bolt and trigger assembly when cutting the foam for the 1700. Seems like extra work and more parts to go missing. Please help

You don’t need a warm up on plains game. Get comfortable with the 416 and hunt a Buffalo. You can take plains game as presented but go for the buff. If you killed a brown bear then you’re ready. Good luck

This scope would not fit on my Blaser R8 with 30mm low saddle mount . Had to go to a high mount. Same scope on my 450 bushmaster I had built and works great

I used Conservation Force to manage my successful leopard permit approval and it was money well spent on a lot of levels. In todays environment there’s just too many unknowns to take the risk.

With regards to soft gun cases I guess I’ve never stayed at a fancy lodge that supplies these. My hunts are are a several hour drive or a charter flight away. I‘ve never asked if they would supply soft cases but I will now. Live and learn
