JJ told me keep them clean and a drop of oil once and a while. I had no issues with mine.

I have a CZ 550, 416 Rigby that has an AHR modification but I cannot remember which one. New trigger, smoothed action and bolt changed to Model 70 safety. Is it AHR #1 or #2 ? I was done around 2016. Thanks

My first safari for tuskless and buffalo plus plains game I took a 500/416 and 416 Rigby. I broke the stock on the 500/416 but was able to finish the hunt with the Rigby. Last hunt took a 470 and 375. I did not get at buff but shot all my plains game with the 375. Iike Matt85 says, 2 suitable...

I have been to Africa 3 times but again I am no expert. I reload slowly and carefully. Run all reloads through the guns to be used. Practice with your reloads. I like using once fired brass for mine. I have never had an issue.

That's what I have done on 3 trips. Scope on, bolt in, and double assembled. No problems so far.

No issues during my last trip to Zim. One in each suitcase, one in ammo box, one in rifle case. Will make you nuts at the gate showing 500 yards away when you're looking at the plane watching them load cargo. But no issues.

When reloading solid copper or brass bullets, ie: CEB solids, Woodleigh hydros, or others, where do you start vs soft nose loads in the same caliber. I am using 88 grains of Reloder 15 behind Woodleigh 500 grain soft nose bullets in a 470. Help please.

I am going to try some Nosler solids in my 470 but need input on loads. I called Nosler they said call Alliant and they said call Nosler. No help at either place. I want to use Reloder 15 but do not know where the starting load should should be. 2 grains or 5 grains below my A-Frame load? Help...

Does anyone have experience loading RL 15.5 in 470 Nitro or 375 H&H? Just wondering if it reduces recoil like RL 15 in the 470 and if it is more temperature stable. Thanks

My first safari I took a Krieghoff 500/416 and CZ 416 Rigby. Shot 2 buffalos with the double, and Impala, Tuskless, and Warthog with the Rigby. I would say that I am glad I shot the Impala first because it helped to calm me down for the rest. I was super nervous on the first animal. Plus Impala...

Once you get familiar with the Krieghoff it becomes second nature. No one wants to careless but you may be overthinking this. When I was Zim in October the PH worried more about the tracker with my Model 70 than me with my Krieghoff.

I am trying to find a proven load for a Chapuis double in 375. I want to use Barnes 300 gr TSX. I have H4381sc, H4350, and Reloder 15 powders on hand. Not looking for other bullets or speed. Just a good load for a double rifle that I can tweak for this gun. Thanks in advance.
