Yeah I'm pretty lucky with the hunting I have right around home. I only had time for 1.5 days of mulie hunting last fall but saw three typical bucks between 170-185, one was really young so we didn't even attempt a stalk, and one monster NT that would've been over 30" and at least 210". Fingers...
Jerome,
I kind of figured that by cutting things down to one agent. I've used Lori cause of this site and had excellent service. I'm a bit puzzled by the hunting agent part though cause there were a few legitimate agents that posted here regularly and needed no extensive background checks...
Hi James,
I figured out it was a special of some sort. I just thought the rules were the rules and am used to Jerome putting a red flag up if all the details aren't posted...legitimate or not. I'm not interested in the hunt myself but somebody should be. Being from Saskatchewan I'm blessed...
Can we find out who the outfitter is? And why does your website offer hunts to Turkmenistan? Hunting has been closed there for years...glad you took China off your Asian list though.
Tap I remember your excitement when you posted about your ele hunt you had booked. I have no idea how you are feeling right now but I am quite sorry to hear about your situation. As others have said, I think you should go on with your hunt. You will look back in a few years and be happy that you...
I hope you have a great trip Brickburn! I hope you enjoy the leopard hunting...I'm sure the plains game will be wonderful if a big tom doesn't give you an opportunity. I've taken the Frankfurt option a couple of times now and I really enjoy the airport there. From my experiences it puts other...
Do You have pictures of your base camp and fly camp if one is going to be used? I'm also curious if any of the issues that CGswimmer25 has mentioned have been resolved? I also remember sometime ago a hunter (Slovakia or Spain I think he was from) posting on here about a negative experience with...
A big thank you agin Jeff! That is a great looking buck.
Thanks to Jeff, myself and a friend were able to take three does and two buck over three days of hunting. We were using walk in areas and a couple of ranchers let us onto their property without having to pay a trespass fee of some sort...
Jeff thanks a lot!! I will send you an email when I get home from work tonight. We will work out a plan to meet up. We will probably stop for a nap at Gillette after driving all night so we should be able to work something out.
Thanks for looking into that for me Brickburn.
Jeff we will be hunting out of Lusk in area 9 I believe. We are more than willing to go out of our way to pick up and return a rifle. What area will you be in?
Hi guys, I'm relatively new to the forum but I'm going to ask for a big favour. Myself and a friend are heading down to Wyoming from Saskatchewan thursday night after work and we have run into a large predicament. Due to a series of miscommunications/misunderstandings between myself, a new CBP...
I've been arranging a safari for three friends and myself with Mark. Everything seems to check out, although I've had trouble contacting him about sending contracts.
Thanks Bob. I'm going to try my best to do as many as I can. As long as I stay healthy and money does not become an issue. I think the muskox hunt would be quite an adventure, not to mention they taste great. There are "warm weather" hunts for them during the summer months up in Greenland. They...
Interesting posts guys! I am single, in my 20's and grew up with very little. Now I have a job with a significant income and am going to start living my dreams in the next few years. I'm sure I will never complete all or most of my adventures that I want to take but here are a few of my top...
35bore, thanks for the suggestion. Teva has quite a line of sandal/shoe hybrids and regular sandals. I also forgot about the Dunlop sandal, another great suggestion. Perhaps I'll fashion myself a set next time I get new tires. I'm not much of one for socks and sandals ha ha. I don't like wearing...
I'm heading over to Zambia in April to do some hunting, fishing and sight seeing. Sandals are my go to foot wear in warm weather but I don't usually walk long distances or spend all day in them. I normally wear thongs/flip flops but after walking about 25km one day last summer in them my feet...
Congratulations on a great hunt! Excellent looking billy and beautiful scenery. How did you like the Kuiu gear? I am looking into buying some of their clothing for a couple hunts next year.
Thanks for the links Jerome, I saw the first document but not the second one you posted. White-eared kob and Nubian ibex are a couple animals that really interest me. Nat Geo filmed an episode of Great Migrations in Sudan, near Ethiopia in 2008 or 2009. They say that it is the second largest...
Thanks for the read. Goat hunting in Hawaii looks like a very fun and unique adventure, how many people can say that they've had the chance to stalk animals on lava flats?
A cartridge that I have always wanted a rifle chambered in is the .308 warbird. I know that Lazzeroni specs aren't always what shooters achieve with their own ammo, as well as being difficult to find anywhere, but the balistics scream mountain rifle.
Brickburn, in Europe it is common to go by the weight of the antlers of red deer, roe deer, and fallow when determining the trophy fee.
9,3x62, do you have any pictures of a red deer of that size?
Thanks for posting this video up Jerome. There are a couple other youtube videos with eagles hunting wolves on youtube if anyone is interested. The throat singing tops the video off.
Bert that is one of the best comments I've ever read on any site. I can't wait to buy a factory 50BMG/.338 for coyotes, man they're growing 'em big these days.
That has to be that rangers worst day of work ever. It looked like the cats weight maybe pulled down the window further and prevented him from rolling it back up.
Wow! Thanks for putting this video up Jerome. It seems that everyone in the vehicle lucked out that the leopard didn't like the feel of the vehicle or something. Imagine trying to deal with one of those inside a vehicle.
I hope Craig has a speedy recovery and without future complications. It just goes to show that no matter how well you maintain your health that these things can happen to anyone. Best wishes to Craig and his family, you're by far my favorite author and I need someone to live vicariously through...
It looks like you had a very good trip nimrod-100. I never knew about rusa hunting on Mauritius and always thought if I did the hunt it would be in New Caledonia but I think now if I ever take the plunge Mauritius would get my vote.
Good points here guys. TOM that's a good list of suggestions. Jerome would know best but would it be possible to have a formatted list that the person offering the hunt would be required to include in their thread? The list would have several things that would eliminate a lot of the confusion...
Yes I meant the Florida's, sorry I forgot to specify. I'll definately keep your outfit in mind if I ever get a tag there. That's a really nice billy the youth hunter took, did that one tip break off from a fall after being shot?
Nice looking mulies. I was looking at your website and noticed you guide hunts for ibex. I'm just starting to enter the draw this year and am still contemplating to use a guide or go unguided if I ever get drawn. What kind of success do your hunters normally have on this hunt?
