Ive only got extractors in my double, but being in some real close situations in the past I can undoubtedly say, the ejectors is the better option. Reloading with a wounded buffalo at your feet feels like 5 minutes with extractors, and believe me you need that split second or 2 faster for those...

Another question also... what is a wild impala, or kudu.... in SA everything is wild in the fenced areas they are hunted in, except lion... why is that.... maybe because 3 or 4 guys saw a gap in the market to differentiate between the 2 so they will be the only ones being able to offer 'wild'...

I think it also has to do with which you hunt more often. If you hunt more bulls than cows, you have a bigger chance of getting into a confrontation with a bull than a cow, and the other way around. From animal to animal i believe they differ, some go down easy and some not, bulls and cows...

The 500 Jeff is an outstanding rifle! If i had to choose a bolt action for dangerous game it would only be a 500 Jeff. Used one for a whole season few years back, just fantastic on big game!

I believe in my experience, nothing less than 500gr. Any caliber you prefer as long as you are shooting at least a 500gr bullet. The 416, 404, and 375 have surely done their part, i used a 375 for many years before i bought my 470, and stopped numerous animals with it with well placed shots...

True there might be a cheap hunt somewhere worth doing.... but a client cant take that chance with the odds being against him. Most cheap hunts are exactly that. The peanuts and monkeys statement, comes from many years in this industry, experiencing it often.
