I asked Splitting Image to get me several quotes for my shipment last December. They provided them and I used Badger and I was quite happy with them.
You can also contact shippers directly with the crate dimension and weight for quotes.
Selling a like new Athlon Ares G2 UHD 20-60x85 spotting scope with cover & original box. Works perfect, just bigger and heavier than I want for hunting. Probably work great for the shooting range or for a younger & stronger person.
Asking $700 $675 $650 Only $625 shipped. They sell for $820...
I know what you mean. $585 of my Import Broker cost was for three days of storage. The Turkish Airlines shipping was very reasonable but their storage fees are very high.
I miss the days where you had five days of free storage. Now you only have one
I received my crate with 10 dip and pack trophies last month.
Dip and pack at Splitting Image. $2,005
Shipping by air, Badger Cargo. $671
Hunter International Import Broker and shipping to tannery $1,665.
The shipping was definitely less expensive than expected for a 55 kg crate.
Look into Badger Cargo. I just had them handle a dip and pack crate for me. Only $670 to San Francisco. $608 of that was air freight on Turkish Airlines.
I'm currently looking for a new Import Broker in the San Francisco area. Spoke to Don Wallace a little while ago. While he's in Seattle, they have an office in San Francisco and is going to do some research on having shipments go through SFO.
Great guy to talk to.

I am not familiar with the Hilton but one of the other hunters stay there on arrival and said it was very nice. They stayed at the Intersur Recoleta when returning to the US. Said the Hilton was nicer but not as good of a location.
Two years ago I had a crate shipped from a different South African taxidermist that had both finished and unfinished taxidermy in it with no issues. I don't know if something has changed in the past two years or if some taxidermist will mix and others won't.
Thank you for taking the time to put your report together and bring us along on your trip. Congratulations on your hunt and completion of the Tiny 10.
I particularly appreciated your insight into Coutada 9, it's animals and their anti-poaching efforts. You got me quite excited and looking...
I'm thinking about flying Virgin Atlantic next year for my hunt. It makes for a longer trip going through London but I'll give hours between flights to stretch my legs and relax in the lounge.
Any thoughts on the route of Los Angeles - London - Jo'berg or the airline. I'm not taking any...
