ZAMBIA: Hunt With Andrew Baldry At Royal Kafue Safaris

Yes, he’s a decent man that I call friend. He was very supportive and sincerely concerned throughout Joyce’s cancer journey.

I get it!! Just surprised by the "bot" response. Quite funny. I'll take your advice and "make anther choice" It will be the same one I made 8 years ago after my hunt report was edited without my permission. Cheers Jim

A few questions regarding Andrew Baldrey (Royal Kafue Safaris)

I've known Andrew from about 2011 via the internet and then in person in 2012. I've found him to be honest and hard working. I have kept in touch with him since though at times a bit more sporadic than others. I am passively familiar with some of the information concerning Royal Kafue and...

Also the reason I stand by my original statement. Location, Location, Location. Bluey may well be successful, and I hope he is, in Namibia. But, being less expensive generally means something in the long run. If you are unsuccessful on a leopard hunt then try and hunt them again, either in...

    Best Leopard destinations?

I can't agree. When it comes to hunting Leopard, location is everything. Chances are not "the same as anywhere in Africa". That said, good luck and enjoy every minute of your hunt.

That was actually the day before Joyce killed it. We couldn't confirm sex at that angle and he fed that way for 25 minutes or so before jumping off the branch. Didn't matter, the next morning he waited for the light to come up before climbing back into the tree. I think of all the African...

You won't Dave. You know where to find them. Might have to miss you in February if you are headed back to Alaska for SCI. We will likely be tripping around the lower 48 in the truck camper avoiding a bit of the Alaskan winter. Keep well and give my best to Nikki and the kids. Cheers Jim

He feels that the choice of the tree is the most important factor in making the cat feel comfortable. The advantage to the close blind is the shot is that much easier. That said he also liked to get close to everything we hunted. We stalked to less than 50 yards on the first two Impala. It...

I'd say Green Mamba. The Boomslangs tend to have black edging to their scales which are more defined than the Mamba. If I realized they might be a question as to taxonomy I would have had Joyce grab it and show it was front fanged instead of rear fanged like the Boomslang. :D

It wasn't nearly as big as the Black Mamba we saw. We didn't have time to get a picture of him though. He shot up a tree and into a squirrel hole much to the chagrin of the chattering squirrels.

It may seem like an insignificant act to edit the writing by removing a vague initialed reference to another hunting forum. To me it signifies why the anti's are winning the war against hunting. We as hunters can't seem to band together. The Whitetail Deer/Turkey hunter couldn't care less...
