I experienced the roads in 2017 on my first trip to Namibia. They can be rather rough. I didn't do much on that trip except hunt. I think my wife will really enjoy Erindi, but she really wants to see the dunes and some of the fossils. She has a degree in geology, so she's an addicted rock hound...

I purchased an SKB double bow case for my first trip since my buddy was coming with me. Made it from Denver to London, Johannesburg and finally to Windhoek. Not even a scratch.

I've actually used hand loaded rounds of 7.62x39mm with Hornady soft points and Winchester brass to hunt whitetails in Virginia. Yes, it will take smaller game without issue IF handloads are used out to around 250 yards. I would not recommend using on anything larger than small whitetails...

I didn't get to the after party, but did makes it to the show with my wife. We had tickets for Cirque de Sole and it went a little longer than expected. Plus the drinks put us behind, too.

I don't think you'll offend any Scotts drinking it on the rocks. When I was there, they all said scotch is to be drank any way you prefer. Just as long as you drink it. They thought we "yanks" had too many rules on drinking. [emoji23]

My only advice is to be sure of where the front legs are. I practiced out to 60 yards and was very comfortable before my trip, but with my gemsbok, I shot too far forward. Part of the problem was that prior to drawing my bow, the gemsbok had both front legs parallel standing broadside. I...

Any word on teaching this course for bow hunters, or is this rifle only? I'm guessing the same tactics apply as 15 meters is close.

I didn't have any issues through Denver. Our bow case, an SKB double bow case, didn't get stopped or quarantined. I did throw away any arrows or broadheads that came in contact with blood in Namibia. I wanted to avoid any possible issues on the return.

You can start planning for your second trip before the first one is over. Be prepared.

Namibia is a great place for gemsbok. They were everywhere. Zebra are plentiful too. Don't know about Nyala, but warthogs are in great numbers, also. Good luck.
