Yes, renew every three years because I don't know how long I'll and a Lifetime membership might be a waste of money. Unless they have a branch where I might be going.

Opinions on the 2300-2400fps velocity range in big game rifles

Premium bullet manufacturers have designed their bullets for certain velocities in certain calibre. I have found that it is in your best interest to adhere to their recommendations and you will get their expected performance. Faster is not better, neither is slower if the bullet fragments or...

Looking for special buffalo hunt 2025

I hunted in Makuya in 2018, behind the red veterinarian fence. I posted a hunting report on it, Hunting with Motsomi in Makuya here on this forum, picture there. I can't get my laptop to transfer any more pictures for some unknown reason at this time. The old bull was all scarred up, heavy...

I wanted to enter my buffalo into this contest but I found out about it later and don't think I would still be eligible, good luck. Old bulls have so much character and IMHO are the real deal.

416 Ruger VS 416 Rem Mag

I was told or read somewhere that Rigby designed the 416 case with the shoulder like it is so that it wouldn't require a belt for head spacing. And it gave Roy Weatherby an opportunity to add a propriatay belt.

    Giraffe question from newbie

In 2018, I took an old cow, wouldn't wean her two year old calf and wouldn't come back into eustrus, so I guess it was a cull hunt. Because she was a dark as an old stink bull, many of the people that I showed the picture to thought it was bull. She had "canted in horns" so it was a specific...

    this sucks

Ontario Hunter: Just wondering how you found a responsible Member of Parliament (MP)? I had a similar issue with importation in to Canada. Scope Setting for Cape Buffalo?

I used a 1-4 x 24 Triicon Accupoint. I left it on 1 power for the buffalo at 70 yards. I never changed the power setting on royal sable at !00 yards and giraffe at 80 yards. I saw no need to change anything. The scope had a illuminated dot with a German #4 reticle. It was very easy to shoot with...

    Opinions please: Pros/Cons of .375 Ruger vs .375 H&H

Precisely, I personally know of a very experienced hunter and competitive target shooter who sheepishly admitted to me that he did short stroke his rifle on a cape buffalo hunt. That is a real as it can get my friend.

    Opinions please: Pros/Cons of .375 Ruger vs .375 H&H

One thing to consider but worth mentioning is that the 375 Ruger in a Ruger rifle has a shorter stroke on the eject reload cycle than the 375 H&H in a CZ550 or BRNO 602 Magnum action. Short stroking a rifle on reload can be a potential life threatening venture and the action on the Ruger is the...

    Opinions please: Pros/Cons of .375 Ruger vs .375 H&H

The only significant difference that really is apparent is that if you shoot left-handed, the Ruger is available for that. A LH 375 H&H is like the Easter Bunny, or a nymphomaniac. I've heard about them, but never met one.
