We tend to do this in USA! I use a 375Ruger for elk and backup is a 300 H&H.

I find less blood shot meat from a larger caliber going slower then a smaller caliber going higher velocities. Used my 375 Ruger on a damage control mule deer doe hunt, had less blood shot meat on it then the 4pt. mule deer buck with the 270wsm.

Take a look at Nosler Accubonds in 260gr. or 300gr. I load a 300gr. Nosler Accubond in my 375 Ruger for elk hunting.

Why spend the extra money on replacement trigger? The LC5 trigger sear came be honed and spring replaced.. I had that done on mine and is a crisp 2 pound trigger pull. By trigger pull gauge it breaks like glass every time.

The Guide Gun comes with muzzle brake, threaded counter weight and threaded end cap. So you can remove muzzle brake after sighting in and install counter weight and have same POA or just install threaded end cap to protect threads on barrel end.

I load the 200gr. Partitions in my 300 H&H. Only thing I don't like about them is lead tips burr up after firing in box magazine.

I agree with you! Shooting under a sheet metal roof over the range benches is loud but shooting at game in the open I hardly heard the shot. Heard more of the bullet hitting the animal more.
