Tsala safaris isn't East Cape with beaches, but they would fit all of your other requirements very handily. If you want to be at the East Cape then KMG Safaris is a top outfit. Marius takes very good care of his clients.

I too have enjoyed your contributions to this forum. I'll add you to my prayers. I We will all hope for a successful surgery and a fast recovery. Best of luck. Are you having the surgery done in RSA?

There is one other possibility that comes to my mind. If you have developed a carbon ring then your cartridge may not chamber. Not the most likely but its on the list. They can be a pain to clean out but it can be done. Good luck with your problem.

An introduction to yourself is usually a better way to enter a forum. A first post with a reference is probably worth following up on, but not get excited about.

If it is ever put into or out of a tight gun case..... I missed a huge mule deer on a horseback hunt. The scabbard moved the elevation turret putting the in and out of it. Does your scope have capped turrets?
Shouldn't move from being on a quad. If it does then send it in for repair.

Most Bergers are said to expand down to 1600 fps or so. I've never used them far enough to get that slow. My thoughts was 1800 fps gives some room for error. Expansion should be fine at that velocity.

I like hunting different areas/biozones. I also like meeting different outfitters. One year I went and hunted Zambia with Spike. Then on to a auction hunt in the Limpopo and from there a highly discounted cancellation hunt on a great property. Personally I like to do it that way.

You will see a number of opinions shortly I'm sure. If you look through the hunting reports there are probably 5 for Namibia for each one in Botswana. As far as I know both are easy to get your own firearm into. Both have some large hunting areas. Most to all of your animal list should be...
I always put some clothes in. I can't remember an issue doing so. Like was mentioned, be cautious of weight limits. Almost everyone does daily laundry so you don't need a ton of clothes. Having said that the East cape Mtns in July/Aug could get snow so be prepared for cold if that area is your...
Had a great hunt with them a couple of years ago. KNS is a great company. Perhaps my best african hunt. Some good looking buffalo there. Congrats

Good for you! I tried to get my dad to go but, mom was against it and the long flights worked against us. Now he's gone and I really wish it could of happened.... Sounds like an epic hunt in the making.

Great report and good shooting. A rented rifle just isn't the same as your own. Beautiful animals. Nice to read your report even after talking on the phone with you about it. Congrats

I have one and funny thing is I'm working on some loads for it again. I used it to kill my bighorn sheep. Right now the .26 caliber group of cartridges is large. So many choices. The 6.5-06 does many things well but perhaps none of them is exceptional. Lots of bullet choices available makes it...
This was a great adventure for sure. Some wonderful trophies. Lots of top quality animals. Its good to have a friend to share adventures with. Well done.
