300 win mag or so with softer bullet don’t want to explode the cat but too hard and it will zip through. And the best light gathering optic you can afford.
Mine never knew he was hit fell out of the tree dead
Well since my last confession I have sinned. I have purchased a double rifle in 450/400 and while this is on the smaller end it has fueled my addiction to new heights and I am now considering finding a double in 500 nitro or larger. May my wallet and wife forgive me…
You sure they were headed to Germany? I had a Vietnamese oyster fisherman friend who would trade oysters for the big smelly ones. Worked out for both of us so I traded him quite a few over the years till he got out of the business. My least favorite hogs were highly prized by him and his family.
I have to say it amazes me how many people think eating wild pork is unthinkable. Grocery stores haven’t been around that long in the grand scheme of things and people have been eating hogs for a long time. I guess even a lot of hunters these days have gotten pretty detached from their food...
I tried this with the right hog its ok did not help the stringiness of the piece i cooked but I can see where it would work i broke my circulator stick but i need to get a new one and try again. does a fantastic job on rabbit legs.
Find your biggest thicket close to water. That’s how I sneak up on them in their beds on our place.
Also electronic callers work well in certain circumstances.
I never did until I moved to a 650 grain arrow with 20% FOC with a single bevel broadhead then i shoot them at about 25yards and under. It doesn't make it through all of them but it does make it through most of them.
On a side note I saw one my dad shot in the shield stop a 6mm Remington. we...
Don't use expandable broadheads use heavier arrows and the vitals are low and forward. you will do fine but i have been charged a few times doing this. its a lot of fun though I just recommend having a handgun on your hip, because a bow is not a defensive weapon.
I shoot several every year...
keep fat young sows when the acorns are falling or just after the crops have come in. Not all hogs are created equal for cooking purposes and big trophy boars taste horrible for the most part. I love making schnitzel out of them.
I am not buying all new stuff. It’s more economical for me to be a hater. Also the memes are already written so it’s easier too. Besides that I just don’t care. I like big bullets and long range holds no appeal to me I prefer my shots on game to be close as I can get. I feel like I am actually...
Looks like the person joined just to claim the item from his post history. Hasn’t been back since march 3rd. Hope I am wrong but this is why I think the person claiming the item probably shouldn’t be doing so in their first post.
Well it says he joined in 2022 so hopefully he’ll be back around...
I shot 5 deer with my double this year and I think 7 hogs? dont keep track of the hogs as much
put 2-3 boxes through the 375, 458 and 450/400 each annualy.
375 and something larger is my preference. Though on my leopard hunt it was a 300 win mag and a 458 win mag. I like to have 2 in case one breaks for whatever reason. Do I need it probably not but I feel better.
I have never had an issue with push feed guns. I have one that will feed anything I have ever put in it. I think people get too hung up on this personally. Just make sure the rifle you own works well and you can cycle it quickly with the ammo you plan on using while hunting.
No. it would work but it’s not legal pretty much anywhere to my knowledge. And once you have shot 1 Buffalo in my experience a 375 feels on the small side.
Yeah this is part of their marketing strategy to make their watches more “scarce and luxurious”. They now make fewer watches than they used to and make more money. It’s also the main reason I will never own a Rolex
