I have a fully tanned Eland Cape I will no longer be needing. I will post in taxidermy forum if no interest is generated here.
Please message me for details.
I don't want to bother with an extensive thread if there is no interest.
Thank you.
I am getting an Eland mounted soon. I am undecided about pedestal or wall shoulder mounts. I have an 8 ft ceiling and not sure I want to hang a shoulder mount halfway up the wall. I'm leaning towards a pedestal mount. Recommendations please
This was a hunt postponed from 2020 due to the RSA border being closed to Americans. This was my first trip with @Limcroma Safaris but the second to RSA. My first was a rifle hunt. Took Kudu, Gemsbok, Blue Wildebeest, Impala, and Blesbok in 5 days with one shot each. No hard tracking or dogs...
I always buy insurance. I have air travel and deposit for a Safari in September.
I'm wondering if coverage is extended to air travel and bookings with outfitters if travel is prevented because of a Pandemic.
My hunch is it's not covered. It's usually for things like death of a close family...
I am hunting Eland this September. I am using a Tenpoint Stealth NXT shooting a 500 gr arrow at 385 FPS. The KE of this setup is approx. 165 ft lbs at zero yds and 155 ft lbs at 30 yds.
My choice of broadhead is a Slick Trick Crossbow 150 gr.
What have you used?
The last thread ended in 2018. What's the latest? I'm going in September to RSA. Leaving from Dulles, Wash DC.
What cases did you use or recommend. I have reverse draw crossbows.
If archery equipment needs to be inspected like firearms then I will need a case. Otherwise I was thinking of...

I did some searches on airfares to see what I can expect to pay next year. It looks like flights to the Johannesburg airport is cheaper than Port Elizabeth. I guess this would play into the overall cost of what the outfitter is charging. Also, if I booked a flight for next month or so compared...
