Just back from being measured yesterday, my largest wild U.K. stag on my own ground taken this rut, a beautiful beast, circa 8-9 years old. Larder weight 190kg, trophy weight 8.76kg, CIC 204.35 high silver. Shot approximately 50m from where @UKHunter took his stag above. Been some nice beasts...

Strongly disagree, it effectively kills effectively everything, smaller animals display less meat damage, larger die decisively, what more do you want? I’ve used various .375’s over the years for everything from rabbits (granted not much left) through muntjac, no more, probably less, meat damage...

I’ve never understood quite why this gets blamed on the rifle, appreciate the heat of the moment wanting to trust your equipment, especially in DG situations, but also ensuring the shooter does their part and doesn’t “short cycle” as you say.

If you’re serious I will find out what the logistics are of exporting it. I’ve asked the question of a gun dealer this end of things who I know exports regularly to get an idea of costs etc. I’ll report back when I hear from them

Chapuis .375 belted magnum with leupold 1.25-4x20 scope and swing off mounts. This rifle shoots a 1 inch group at its regulated range of 60yd with factory federal 300gr so I reckon with homeloads it would be a tackdriver. Beautiful wood in fantastic condition, just can’t see it getting the use...

I don't think you can tell much from this target.... it looks more like I shot it with buckshot! Certainly compared to CRDS's efforts!! Damn I need to find me a round which it suits! To explain the target, the really low shots were scope adjustments and the 3 high ones were known flyers, driver...

I was told it was regulated with RWS 299gr cone point, which they have since discontinued unfortunately! I have found someone with two boxes of old stock which I will snap up, but 40 rounds isnt going to go very far! I can only hope that the replacement/alternative that RWS now make might be so...
