What a truly amazing bull!
Look at the base of those horns! Look at those ears! Look at that elbow and knee! Look at what is left of his coat! Look at that worn, old face!
This bull has seen many a battle and many a day. For him to die at the hands of a hunter while he could still bring all...
Great report and great animals. That Nyala is my dream bull!
And, that black Impala is almost disturbingly beautiful. I never thought I’d have interest in such an animal, but that ram is amazing.
Really nice to see your wife so intimately involved. You can see the joy and the reverence she...
Would you be willing to make this a full 10-day hunt for the animals listed for near the same price?
I think for me seven days is too short for so many trophies.
Good to know, Bill.
The more I think and plan, the more I lean toward a Spiral Horn Slam along with 3-4 others (Impala!) if I end up in RSA.
That really seems to be what would make me happiest.
OK, Juan. In the picture with four Impala rams, which do you tell the client to shoot?
How about the picture with two rams?
I have my ideas and am interested to hear yours.
I see an entire safari worth of beautiful trophies!
Great Nyala, Bushbuck and Impala (my three favorites)!
Loving the Eland, Kudu and Blue Wildebeest, too!
And though I’m not usually interested, I’d absolutely take that Blesbok if I saw him.
Just like the title says: Where are all of these animals truly indigenous? I’m talking down to specific provinces and areas. Also, where would you hunt each right now?
Feel free to only list one, a few or all these species. Or, add more. Thanks!
1. Nyala
2. Cape Bushbuck
3. Limpopo Bushbuck...
Thanks for the outstanding report.
You’ve made me want to hunt Eland, which was a species not on my initial list. That’s a big change for someone who researches and thinks and plans and engages in thoughtful discussion before making a decision.
I know I would not hunt where 1/2” might cost me $1,500.00 or more.
In my recent research I’ve seen big Springbok coming out of large concessions in the Karoo, Northern Cape and Namibia. It might be a bit harder hunting, but I’d go to one of those places if that was top on my list.
I think a 225 Swift A-Frame at 2,450 fps would make a good all-around bullet for a genuine mixed-bag hunt that might see everything from Cape Grysbok to Cape Eland taken on chance.
I’d probably run a 185 Barnes TTSX, 200 Nosler AccuBond or 210 Nosler Partition if Eland or Giraffe aren’t on the...
It’s actually a 160 TTSX. It is an absolutely wicked killer in the .338 Federal. I have pole axed a couple of bull elk with it out to 300 yards. It puts two big holes in them and destroys large bones with ease.
Both were bang/flop. And the flops were HARD!
