I’m signed up for the SAAM safari prep course in October and sounds like we will be shooting close to 250-300 rounds. Plan on using my Blaser R8 300win mag and 375 H/H. I’m having problems finding enough ammo. Any recommendations for custom ammo? Thanks!

Good point about dangerous game hunting and if your life insurance would not be in effect. Is it common for life/health insurance companies to have exclusions for hunting?

Are Courtneys snake proof? Looks like prettythick leather. I have some turtleskin gators that I would wear with them.

I've hunted with Ozondjahe in Namibia and Thormahlen and Cochran in South Africa. Great things to say about both. Headed to Zimbabwe in August to hunt with JWK for a leopard. I will say Ozondjahe had a great selection of plains game!!

Headed to Zimbabwe in August and researching on CDC website and it looks like they recommend typhoid , yellow fever , rabies(?) And hepatitis A. Plan on doxycycline for malaria prophylaxis. Curious to know what others have done or what is required when you get to Zimbabwe.

Phillip, what is the typical policy amongst outfitters if you don't get a leopard? Do you still pay for the trophy fee? I totally understand that there are no guarantees with hunting but paying for 2 full leopard hunts would be painful to not get a cat. Thoughts....
