Roots of a Game Ranger, Graham Root "Mkhonto" is a good read. Probably hard to come by, an indy print.

Just about anything from Peter Capstick. Death In the Long Grass is a great read.

I agree with Hagar. Since I started reading Capstick books I can't put them down. Another good one is Death in the Dark Continent. All his books are available at Amazon with 1-2 day shipping.Amazon.com: Death in the Dark Continent (9780312186159): Peter H. Capstick: Books
When I am not hunting, I am thinking about hunting....I think I'll go hunting.

go on safaripress.com , you will find a very large selection of african hunting books from older times to modern. there are so many good books , fred everetts 2 books are very good, same for william yorks 2 books, geoff wainwrights book on zambia is good, and if you want a bit of humour then hannes wessels strange tales from the african bush has some very amusing stories, also has some of the bigger than life characters from zim that are no longer with us in it, like dave masson and rufus snyman. hannes chapter on them is worth buying the book for alone.. as i said lots of choice.

Also, you could check out Amazon.com, type in Horn of the Hunter "Ruark" then scroll down and there will be a lot of related books. Another (more modern book) I have recently read was, 21 Days in Africa, by Dan Donarski.
Also some of the mall bookstores have books on hunting Africa."That which does not kill us makes us stronger" Friedrich Nietzsche
