How popular is Reloading Big Bore Ammunition?
Good Morning All,
I have the opportunity to purchase some bullets for big bore ammunition. I don't own one or really know anyone that does. If I purchased these bullets it would be strictly an attempt to flip them and make a little money on the side.
The thing is I really don't know how popular reloading is for these large caliber rifles. Am I going to loose my ass and be stuck with some big bullets I will never use or do you think they would be pretty easy to sell?
Thank You.

Head down to your nearest gun store and see just how many of those big calibers they have on the shelf. That will answer your question quite quickly would be my guess.

I live in the middle of South Dakota, closest "gun store" is about 50 miles away. I can tell you right now that they have less than 5... I would say 0, but they have surprised me before.
Any selling would have to be done over the internet.. Forums, gunbroker etc. I just can't find any posts/auctions to even give me an idea if they would move or I would be stuck sitting on them until the scrap price of brass goes up! ha!

Give us the bullet details and someone may be able to answer your question a bit better.

KitKarson Welcome to AH! Go to the different auction sites and see what the have, check out proxibid.com as well. I have a friend that bought a Ruger #1 in a 416 Rigby in a gunshop in TN at a really good price before he found out what the bullets would cost so I went on line and bid and won 2 1/2 boxes of 416 rigby for 149.00 so he could as he put it shoot moles in his yard.
Enjoy life now -- it has an expiration date.
