With the hunting season well underway, we are offering these discounted hunts to ensure that we utilize as much of the allocated quota for 2013 season in Makuti Pool Safari Area . We have recently taken over the marketing and hunting rights for this concession. This rugged unspoilt government safari area lies in between Makuti and Charara safari areas.

Clients can expect to take some quality trophies in this area, mature lions with typical Zambezi valley type manes, and some good tom leopards, the buffalo bulls will be in the 35-38in range. Elephant bulls average 30-35lbs, Although not plentiful, there is a variety of plains game available, kudu, zebra, eland, sable, hyena, klipspringer, warthog, grysbok etc. These animals will be available to the hunters on a first come, first serve basis.

hi Barry hows AJ? i was wondering how they are discounted as they seem to be the same as your regular hunt options quoted on your website? your all inclusive packages look very well priced. apologies if i have read something wrong. cheers mike

Barry, welcome to AH.

Can you tell us what the trophy fees are?

Greetings. Aj is well and is currently up in Tanzania. Sorry i missed out a word on the heading on the webpage. It should read "Discounted regular hunts" as in daily rate charge, plus additional charges like trophy fees, gov levies,dip/pack etc.. i will sort that out now, appreciate you pointing this out... These are discounted in the fact that regular hunts for the same species are selling for alot more in Zimb. We have recently taken over the marketing & hunting rights from the company who have the current lease agreement with Zimbabwe Parks & Wildlife Authority - Terrestrial Safaris - So are wanting to put a a few hunts through to utilise some quota.

regards

Tks Brickburn, A full list of trophy fees can be found on the specials page on my wepbpage, i did try and copy and paste the list to add with current info, but for some reason couldn't get it to workout..sorry am a real novice when it comes to computers. Will try again shortly.

regards

WELL, I belive I may have been the cliant that AJ had just finished up with, and YES we had a very succesful hunt. As I had returned to hunt the elusive Siatunga in west Tanz. It was our second time as we had bad luck the first. never the less the outfiter had made it right for me to return and hunt again. AJ is a proffesional in all aspects and I do look forward to hunting with him again. Cheers

Hi Barry, with your permission I would like to add this to your post:

Hi Gavin

Sorry for the delay, i have been in the field.

As we operate in a government concession area, we are by law not allowed to use dogs for leopard hunts. In areas such as camfire/tribal concessions or private ranches you may hunt leopards with hounds, once you have obtained the necessary permits from national parks.

kind regards

Barry

We have had some good hunts so far. More to come.
