Here is what I could find...
This great world record not too well known comes from the country of Bahunde, Cote Bwito. This is one of the largest and longest Elephant tusks in the world. This trophy is on exhibit at the entrance of the IRSAC Lwiro. The Monograph of the province of South Kivu, p. 66, says: "It was in Lwiro where was exhibited both ivory tusks which were the longest and heaviest to date. They came from an Elephant killed in 1943 in Bwito, in the current Virunga National Park (NB actually in the valley of the Upper Mweso, right bank) by a certain Jean Bormans (NB who lived near the main lake Mukoto of Kishali, Masisi). These tusks, unique in the world, measured successively 3.505 meters (11.499 feet) and 3.304 meters (10.839 feet), they weighed 68 kg (149.914 pound) and 61.5 kg (135.584 pound), they were stolen one after the other, in 1990 and 1991."

The bull in front had about 48" sticking out and this was the first group we saw. The bull in the back closest to the camera was about 20" at the lip according to the ph and was a shooter by everyones standards that he knew of including himself. However this beast was a one tusker and I wanted 2. So I passed them both up.

heres another long tusk big one I passed
heres some random bulls we saw and one of the two long tuskers that ran together. THey were so similar I cant tell you which was which. They were both pushing the 70lb mark
heres swamp bull. He was in the same spot in the same swamp every day, all day long.
and heres my bull before I shot him. When I shot him he fell and broke his right tusk at the lip. The video shows it all. Its pretty cool.
There were many other big bulls but I cant remember whos who. It was simply an amazing sight to keep seeing such big bulls
