Looking at booking a hunt in this area for June. Any info on trophy quality and numbers of Elephant, Buff, Sable and plains game would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time.
 
Who is the outfitter on Unit five now?
 
Stephan Bapei as far as I've been told.
 
Nobody has any info ??? Where else could a guy find said info ?
 
If you are interested in hunting Matetsi I would contact one of these two guys.

Russ has hunted the Matetsi area for years. He has quota on a couple of different blocks and can offer good insight to the situation there.
Remember to book with a licensed Zimbabwe outfitter and PH when hunting in Zim.

Hi Jeff

The Matetsi Units are the best remaining wild, free range, fair chase hunting areas in Africa today. There is no doubt in my mind about that fact, this is true for all big game species. Matetsi Unit 5 is 390 Kilometers squared in extent.

We book Unit 2, 5. Please let me know if you are still interested in hunting Unit 5?

Planning is indeed fun! What will you be after on the hunt!
 
I hope the OP still isn't planning this hunt and has gone by now.
