lol. know a few guys that are "a man of few words", but UKman may be "a man of no words".
just kidding ya. Would love to hear about this hunt and the outfitter. My wife and I love to hunt and we also want to see Europe (I've seen a good bit, but she's seen none of it). Greece, Italy, Ireland and Spain are on her traveling list. Maybe I could consider Spain if I could also hunt one of those critters while I am there.
Hi, this is a medal Gredos Capra ( Ibex) from the Gredos Mountains in South West Spain, about 2 hours drive from Madrid.
It was shot by my friend from London, as part of a group, who shot 6 Ibex over 2 days. Each hunter took 1 male trophy ( all over 11 years old) and 1 female "Hembra" each ( oldest was 16!).
The hunting is all fair chase and is done on foot and if required by docile mountain horses.
We borrowed the estates Blaser R93's in .338 and 7mm mag.
Accomodation is very high quality ,along with the food and drinks.
Over the last 3 years I have taken a couple of Ibex myself and had a few friends/ clients go with me for their treasured trophy. The area is regarded as the best in Spain for Gredos Ibex and results and the guests who go there speak for themselves.
Prices are all inclusive and are for a 2 day hunt. There are 9 full time gamekeepers and more house staff and horse men.
The area is totally unfenced and has a large amount of animals inc Ibex, Red deer, Fallow deer, Red Fox, Wild Boar.
The large majority of hunters get their animal/s on day 1 but sometimes due to weather etc day 2 is needed.
