Any interesting offer will be considered.

I will pay whatever he offers plus 1000 and my first born!

Now you're talking!!! I took a monster on my first trip to Africa and still am proud of that Namibia monarch.

Hi All,
I feel guilty offering $1000.00 plus my first born in addition to what ever Dr.Frank was offering for a top 10 SCI scoring bow killed Red Hartebeeste. It is this kind of thing that so often leads to that empty feeling. I mean look at it. What kind of example am I setting for younger hunters. I am withdrawing my previous offer. My new offer is the same as the old one except it extends to all plains game. What if it happens to be a poor year for Hartebeeste? I must be getting old to almost have made such a damned rookie mistake.

so sorry-Jerry

you ll be right jezza it only takes 9 months to make a son, you can do a different animal each year

Boys, I am asking FOR the concrete possibility of harvesting a top 10 hartebeest, with bow and arrow, and OF COURSE in a fair and ethical contest. I do not sell hunts, I want to buy a hunt. By the way, my sons are not for sale anyhow (the 9 months are the easy step, it's the second 20 years step that is a bit more critical and challenging, with sons).

yeah i disagree with some of that comments about sons doc. with my two boys the first 13 years was a walk in the park but once theyr balls dropped and the testosterone level went through the roof .i couldnt get a whole lot of sense out of either of em .the oldest boy is now 21 and finally settled down but the youngest lad is as crazy as a cut snake , i live in hope that he will chill by the time he is 20 .
the real sad bit is when i whinge to my dad about it and he just laughs and says i know exactly what your going through.....
good luck to you mate on a top ten trophy

I perfectly agree with you, Bluey. Thanks

I have recieved so many pm's for top five hartebeeste. I will broker you one for $500,000.00 per animal. I also want an $11.00 dollar bonus if I can get you all five spots.

how big is a top ten red hartebeats jezza
i love to take a bighead when the gods shine on me (which is rarely )
but how much is it worth to buy your way in to the record books ?

Hence the eternal question mate... It could be pondered for a looooonnnnnggggg time.

I hope you aren't trying to "horn" in on my $11.00 commission. I know it's like paying for sex. I just want to be an $11.00 pimp!

- the love dr!

Dr.Frank

My best reffereal would be Harry Nel African Arrow safaris, a specialist bow hunter and winner of multiple awards SCI, PHASA and RW.

It seems unusual that I might reccomend him (another outfitter) but he is the best man for the job I know.

My very best always.

I've heard of guys spreading the word to look for big ivory, big maned lions and even exceptional kudu....this is the first for the lowly Hartebeest! Good luck in your endeavor though, they are a unique trophy.

I wouldn't call the red hartebeest lowly (lol), he can out run most of the other species.

with a face like that he would have to! I mean the Hartebeeste not the Dr.

I ownly wish the topi and other animals were affordable to hunt. :(

Hi All,
Throughout most of this thread I have been somewhat of a jerk. It is only because threads like this annoy me. If this is the way the doctor thinks hunting works or should work he needs to find a different way to occupy his time. One of the most wonderful things about the sport of hunting is that we are all equal in the eyes of the mother earth. In the field we each have that same opportunity for that fabulous animal to present itself. Sure there are things good hunters can do to tilt the odds. Scouting is an age old method. We also know some regions are better producers for certain trophies than others. If an outfit could guarantee a top ten sci animal, then that would have to be a "canned "hunt. If the outcome is certain then it is certainly not hunting. To be honest the better question would be to ask where might I find a trophy Red Hartebeeste? If you need to be more specific you could say you really would like to find one that scored gold , where would my best chance be?. Hell of a nice trophy a gold SCI. I hope your shooting is equal to the animal.

Well I have read some of doctor's other post over the years and he is passionate hunter. But you are right in saying guarenteeing a top 5 animal is probably going to lead to a canned hunt. It would be FAR better to hunt a area known for big red hartebeest and look for one. Some how the satisfaction of that hunt would have to be worthy of any award someone could give you. I wasn't looking for monster red hartebeest on my first trip to Africa, but I happen upon one and that made it so MUCH NICER AND SWEETER at the end of the day. I know a lot of people thing they are a lowly subgrade animal. I don't. I have a very high regard for them. They are premier animal to me!
