My wife and I are planning an African hunt for 2013. On our list is Cape buffalo for Gayle; lion, sable, impala, black wildebeest,
nyala, and impala for me. Time will tell if Gayle takes some of the plains game on "my" list. Right now, we are considering
a hunt in Mozambique and RSA. I was fortunate to have an earlier hunt in Namibia in 2008 that focused on plains game,
although my wife was not with me to share the hunt. This next trip will be a dream hunt for both of us.

We have already made great use of this website for our upcoming hunt, so I joined the forum to contribute to the experience
base.

I am a graduate of the gunsmithing program at Yavapai College and have my own gunsmithing business here in Prescott. Very
much looking forward to sharing information and experiences with other members of this forum.

From just down I-17, welcome to AH! In the summer I frequently make a ride on my motorcycle up the Yarnell gap and into Prescott, prettiest town in AZ in my opinion. I'll try to drop into your shop perhaps next summer. Again welcome to AH, please share your Namibia hunt story with us!

Just up the road in Page PM message sent Welcome!

Welcome to AH Thunderdawg! Hope you and your wife have a fantastic hunt on your next trip to Africa.

Phoenix Phil,
Gayle and I both ride motorcycles, though not so much since we moved to Prescott. She has a Triumph Tiger and I a Triumph Sprint ST.
You are welcome to drop by the shop (Rough Creek Gunsmithing LLC) which is located a few feet from my house. Please call ahead (928-848-2136) to be sure I am home. I will add text and pix from the 2008 Namibia trip, once I figure out how to do that on this forum.

Bob,
Thanks for the welcome. I really enjoy this forum and all the info it has. And thanks for your wishes for our upcoming hunting trip to Africa. I am so glad that Gayle will be with me on this trip. And she is going for Cape buff!!
I really like your signature: "enjoy life now -- it has an expiration date". That philosophy is totally behind why we are doing this hunt while we are physically able to. Another component is the idea if we don't spend the money, our heirs will.

James,
Thank you. This seems a very good forum and has been very useful so far. I hope Gayle and I can repay by info and pix I post.

I ride a Harley touring bike. There's actually a mechanic in Prescott I've used a few times on some of my various motorbike projects. Perhaps you've heard of GMR Performance, he's just a few blocks or so from old town Prescott.

Arizona,
Thanks for the welcome. I really like this site for all the information available and the warm welcom I have gotten. So far.

Baobab,
Thanks for the welcome. My wife and I have not committed to a particular PH or location. Our critter list includes Cape buff, black-maned lion, impala, sable, black wildebeest, and maybe nyala. Days in Africa are around 20 or less. Hunting days are may be less due to travel from one locale to another. Only interested in a hunting safari. I know how to carry a rifle and a camera, the latter in a daypack.
