INTRO

Welcome to Osonjiva Hunting Safaris

You can look forward to fantastic close-up experiences with Namibia's wildlife on every hunting safari.
Highly trained and experienced rangers and trackers ensure that your hunting safari experience ranks amongst the best in the world.

Osonjiva offers luxury accommodation, exceptional close wildlife encounters, personal service and delicious cuisine. We ensure that Namibia and its warm hospitality echo through the style and flavor of each and every one.

HUNTING

We have 5 professional hunters to assist you and as we operate on a 2:1 ratio, up to 10 hunters can be accommodated at any stage. Clients are collected from the airport and can enjoy the scenery and breath-taking landscapes on the 3 hour drive from Windhoek to Osonjiva. The farm itself covers 8,000ha and has an additional 50,000ha at our disposal. The farm offers hunting in both fenced and non-fenced areas. Osonjiva hosts more than 20 of the mentioned species on our pricelist. With the current release of White Rhino on our property we host 2 of the big five.

ACCOMMODATION

At Osonjiva, we pride ourselves in providing only the finest, most luxurious accommodation.

Our lodge consists of 7 spacious chalets with twin/double rooms. All rooms are individually decorated and equipped with electronic safe, water dispenser and en-suite bathroom. All rooms are air-conditioned.

A feature of Osonjiva is its large, tiled, bright clear swimming pool surrounded by green lawn that is kept well-manicured by the occasional visiting local wildlife.

Dining

A mix of culinary and aesthetic delights. For those who can't live on aesthetics alone, our chef offers world-class Bushveld cuisine with fantastic South African wines accompanying your meal. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in our main dining room where game specialities are on offer.

The Bar

If it's not food youæ± e after, the Private Bar offers a warm fireplace on winter nights and a cosy atmosphere in the summer.

ACTIVITIES

For over 20 years Osonjiva Hunting has been looking after its clientele in a caring manner, putting emphasis on personalized service in a relaxed, luxurious atmosphere, where spoiling guests with its culinary delights became part of its trademark.

Plenty for the non-hunter to enjoy and discover, Photo safaris by car or walking tours in the bush can be arranged, or you can choose to simply enjoy relaxing at the pool. We recommend that you book an extra guide for non-hunters, if they do not wish to take part in the hunt. A pool table is also available for those who like to play a game of pool or enjoy a game of darts.

A unique feature of Osonjiva is our affiliation with a shark fishing outfitter in Swakopmund on the Atlantic Ocean. We can add this option to your Namibia Farm hunt package along with a variety of other seaside excursions such as a dolphin cruise (complete with on-board oysters and champagne). For the more adventurous why not try your hand at Quad biking and experience the sand dunes of the Namib Desert. The addition of fishing or extensive sightseeing requires an additional 3 or 4 days. If any of these options interest you please inquire at the time of booking and we will be glad to customize your adventure for you.
Full day excursions can also be arranged to Etosha or Waterberg National Park and into the town of Otjiwarongo.

I would gladly share my experience regarding the hunting and the accommodation in Osonjiva Hunting Safaris.

For the last 7 years I've been hunting in different camps of Namibia, but there was always some sort of problem.
There were unexperienced guides, bad hunt planings and accommodations, sometimes we didnt even get the animals that we already arranged upfront, and the most important thing is that some of the camps dont even know how to prepare and organize transport of the throphie animals to Europe.

I've been a regular guest in the Osonjiva Hunting Safaris for the last 4 years. From my personal experiences I can guarantee you that if you are looking for a high class hunting and accommodations you are going to get it. The hunters are very experienced, all the animals are throphie quality and are just the right age.

I dont have any problems with the throphies anymore. I get them from Taxsidermy, which is owned by Sylvia, and what I get from them is top quality.

Tinus and Sylvia are ready to fulfill wishes from theyr every client, they are wirth the trust!

I can't say enough good things about Osonjiva and Sylvia.

I have hunted quite a bit (40 years) and have had the opportunity to experience many guided trips. As far as big game hunting is concerned, Osonjiva not only provides a great hunt but the accommodations are 5 star. I have never experienced such luxury on a hunting trip. In fact I would rate the food and accommodations on par with many family vacations, including my honeymoon.

My time with them exceeded all my expectations and I plan on returning. Hopefully with my son as a collage graduation present.

I can talk all day about them and welcome any opportunity to speak with your clients if they would like to arrange a phone call. However, I can provide you with a much more detailed account of the trip via a website I manage.
