Hello again all,

Ive decided not to take the RH safari down by Craddock, so am starting fresh and need some direction.

What I am looking for is a 2 person hunt 7-10 days with primary species being Sable, Kudu and warthog.
( dont know why, but I want a warthog with monster tusks, I just do )
Feel free to recommend other species as well, but I don't think we're up for the big 5 this time around.
(Still kicking that around)

It will be for me and my 17 yr old daughter and looking to go in may-june-july this coming year and will be our first Safari

Id like some feedback on best regions to hunt for those animals and some outfitters that come recommended

I will be attending the SCI show in Vegas in Feb with her and would like to set up some times to visit personally with some outfitters as well

thanks all

With out stepping on anyone's toes...outfitter wise....I'll say the Limpopo Province...South Africa. Spiral Horn Safari, Sadaka Safari, SS Pro Safari...come to mind for big kudu, sable, and warthog.

Savanna Hunting Safaris and INFINITO SAFARIS might have something too.

The place I just got back from had all 3 of what your looking for. Mabula Pro Safaris in the Limpopo Province. They will be at SCI in Vegas as so will I. I will be going back there for Sable as I seen some really nice animals.

there are more on here who will fit your ticket.

Check the outfitters section in Zimbabwe, Zambia and South
Africa.

How much is sable there? Do they charge plains game rates? They had no price list on their website...boy do I love that. What is trophy quality of the sables?

Should have mentioned Mokore Safari in Mozambique too for a free range hunt.

Have you checked out the Hunting Report Newsletter, thousands of reports on hunting all over the world, choose a country and animals and read reports on various outfitter/PH's. Subscription price but well worth it.
I wouldn't book with out checking it, talking with the company and checking references. Served me well, four trips, with two hunts on one trip and a great experience each time. Good luck and you do realize that you will be an African Hunting addict after the first trip!

Follow up, don't know what you want to spend but Zambia has great Sable. I know that Richard Bell Cross is a great PH in Zambia and comes highly recommended. Sable in South Africa are pricey. Zimbabwe has great Sable also. I have hunted with Charlton McCallum Safari in Zimbabwe, very highly rated and has a new plainsgame area. Look at their website also. They will be at SCI and you can't go wrong with them. Have no financial interest in any company I suggest. Semi-retired Judge and total African Hunting addict. Spend half my time scheming on how to finance my next trip.

Richard Bell Cross, Pro Hunt Zambia.

Add Leeukop safaris to the mix and Louis just had an ad about Sable too.

Good Day MTC,

We also have exceptional sable and kudu available. We will work a little harder for the warthog in our area but you will defnitely be able to get a very nice tusker. We hunt in one area and we do have some Sable packages on special right here on the forum. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you may be interested in any of our packages. I am in Dallas at the moment for the convention.

Looking forward on hearing from you soon!

Best regards,

Jacques
