O The branding on there is just to prevent unnecessary copying, if Jerome likes it i believe he would change the branding to AfricaHunting.com

Got through with the link and I'll have a look in some detail.
Quick glance, you will need to do a little tweaking still but great work to get all that information on to it.
I will have to have a look at the source material for some of the sizes.

ie. On average Mule Deer tend to be larger than Whitetails.

I'll give you some feedback after some research.
I really thing this tool would help most hunters from North America.

If you are really bored you can make an interactive template that can put a Whitetail (the most hunted and most widely distributed species in North America) beside the various African species. :)

I can see the image file... The branding should defenitely be there and you should get all the credit for it since you took the time to put this educational chart together... The chart is quite comprehensive now and include a lot more species than at it's conception... I like it!

MarvelAfrica, Are you still looking to get feedback from members or are you finished with it?

Please, comment and input would be appreciated, i would like to get it as accurate as possible..

Thank you for all the input this far !

Thanks for the input, and i would appreciate your feedback on the accuracy of the US Species specifically,
i have learned quite enough to know i have no idea what hunting in the US is about :), so many choices in a single animal depending on their location, it is amazing..

As for the idea on the White Tail comparison, it sounds interesting, i will see how i can get something working when i have some time..

I think it's a fine chart, I know it took a lot of effect! Great job!

The Shiras moose in around 1000 pounds, definitely below the Alaskan-Yukon moose of 1400 pounds or more. Other than that is looks fine.

They are so adaptable to so many habitats they come in all ranges and sizes.
A good average Whitetail is certainly what most average hunters have chased in the US and Canada.

Lots of hard work has gone into it.

Shiras moose are the smallest moose and not many pass the 1000 pound mark. I assume you are simplifying things a bit as the Canada moose is the mid-size and most wide spread and is bigger than the Shiras but smaller than the Alaska/Yukon variety.

Assuming these are average mature males, the weight for whitetail is too heavy and the weight for mule deer is too low......... but they vary so much from area to area. Even with the grizzly the weight listed is too high for an average grizzly when you average out weights from interior bears with coastal bears. Same goes for caribou...... that would be a good average mature bull for central barren ground and Quebec-Labrador, but is too light for the western Mountain caribou and the Alaskan barren ground.

Good job ......... this sort of chart always has to be pretty general as one can nitpick things to death and never make everyone happy. :)

Skyline,

Good to hear from you, hope all is well!!

Skyline, Glad to hear that all is well. Take care.

Glad to see you back Skyline, I was going to state the Shiras moose at 800...fully mature animal, but a number of animal guides on the net listed 700-1200 which I thought was misleading.
