Sorry for our RSA brothers but hopefully everyone books the hunt of the century in the AM considering the discount world markets just gave us?

If you don't support companies they die. Get out your American check books my friends. Now is the time to hunt!
 
Being on of those RSA citizens I would like to know if there is anyone out there that is willing to adopt a 33 year old?

I come with evey little baggage. So I wont take up alot of space.
 
Not a good scenario for world market.
 
Any thoughts on hunting trips will be on hold for me until the market settles and any knee jerk reactions are over.

i've been lucky enough to draw my New Mexico elk tag. Hunt is reserved and bought.
If not for that, I'd be all over some of these last minute african hunts.
I'd have a tough time deciding. Next year, who knows. might do a buff.
might bring the wife or may treat my son and son-in-law to a hunt.
I've seen some good deals for a group of 3 or 4.
as long as nothing goofy and unexpected happens with my finances.
 
I've not been into world politics much for a while.
BUT, in my uninformed option......
Europe is a mess with all the muslims having been allowed in that are taking down the continent.
If I were Britain, I'd get out of the EU as quickly as possible and put back up my borders.
Easier to seal off an island. Yet, I know the British are also deluded with the issue.
If the muslims don't settle down, I am afraid there is about to be a new war of ideology that will swell in Europe.
there will be a civil war of race/religion.

I hope this post was a joke?!

The tiny fraction of extremists do not represent the entire religion. A bit like the tiny fraction of Americans who go on rampage causing amok killing with firearms do not represent the majority of gun owners in the states.

Discount to what?

Rand at 1-15 this morning. It was at 1-16.8 late last year as I recall. That's when you should have booked in Rand, or wait until it is 1-18 in the future. Can't tell you exactly when that will be, or I'd lose my advantage. ;)

Point is, there will be better and worse rates again in the future. And don't forget that you have to pay in Rand in order to get the discount. I doubt many outfitters updated their $$$ price sheets this morning in order to reflect the new rate. :) Market timing almost never works for people.

Good for England in breaking away from the EU shackles.

The financial shockwave will stabilize, when people are done freaking out.

Best wishes to our RSA friends. I hate to see any currency fall, or global economies suffer because of the greed of the global elite.
 
This is just a shock more then anything, are people going to stop doing business with UK. No. Are people going to stop travelling to UK. No. It just means they don't have to take orders from Brussels. Everyone who is screaming this will cause a world recession is shorting the market. A correction in the market is well overdue and many companies have been stockpiling cash waiting for this correction to happen. You could argue we are in a bit of a recession now, though growth hasn't gone negative it has slowed. The reason why people are really freaking out is the lost of power from an ideologue standpoint. Globalization lost, Nationalism won.
 
U.S. currency appreciating greatly against the British Pound and quite strong against the Euro today. But down against the Japanese Yen and.................as of just a moment ago has broken below 15 ZAR. Where will it go in the future? Not a clue.

But while I may be accused of some bias here and understandably so, I think @rookhawk's post has merit. When was the last time you saw safari prices drop, if ever? And it has been a significant drop. My predicition is there will be outfits who go out of business. Some may not care, that's just how business goes. But when enough outfitters go under, the market supply will then start to catch up with demand and you may just miss out on the best buying opportunity you'll ever see.
 
Germany would be doing itself, and others, a huge favor by getting rid of Merkel.

I booked a hunt this year as did several others from the forum that you will pay the current exchange rate on the last day according to Forex Exchange, all fees are listed in Rand
