I have some experience with Springer Spaniels and German Short Hair Pointers...

I had a GSP that I had to give away when I had to start working in Dubai.

If I ever have the place and time to train a GSP again I will do it in a hart beat. They are really awesome hunters and great with the family.

What dog breed do you prefer for wing shooting birds and why?

Here is a photo of our 1st and only wing shooting afternoon...

I mainly hunt Greywing Partridge in South Africa. Schooled English Pointers are the only breed working for me here.

A friend in Pretoria whom I've not seen or spoken with for at least ten years used to publish a magazine for South African gun dog owners His pen name was Raoul van der West. Is his magazine still in business? Anyone know how he and his family are doing?
