Greetings from New Jersey USA

Haha, I get that all the time Spike....
And yes, I'm sure a 416 or 458 will be the next thing to plan for. I figured the best path to follow was the 375, since I can get my feet wet with CZ and use it here in the states.
My brother last night suggested a moose hunt, and he wants to start planning.....

your .375 as has been said will work on everything. .416 are great but a .458 win or lott would be a better step up as you already have a .375. and i come from the original jersey one of the top families here used to own that chunk of land where you live back in the day ;) extract below.

In 1664 Charles II gave to Sir George Carteret the proprietorship of a large tract of land in North America which was named New Jersey. Philip de Carteret, Seigneur de La Hougue, was the first Governor of the new Colony. We are told that :

" In August 1665 Philip Carteret appeared among the tenants of the scattered cabins and was quietly received as the Governor appointed for the Colony by the proprietaires. . . . So feeble were the beginnings of the Commonwealth it was but a cluster of four houses, which was now called Elizabeth Town, and rose into dignity as the capital of the province."(Bancroft, History of the U.S.)

"The town was called Elizabeth after the daughter of Philip de Carteret, who became the wife of Sir George Carteret, Bart."

This brings to light the fact that New Jersey is a colony from the island of Jersey and was granted originally to the famous Norman family of de Carteret.

So it is certain that New Jersey received some of her first immigrants from old Jersey.

The de Carteret family originated in Normandy. They colonised the island of Sark as Seigneurs of Sark. At the time of the restoration, some became Barons Carteret and were granted lands in the Carolinas and in the State that became New Jersey.

Their ancestral seat is Saint Ouen's Manor, Jersey, still today owned by persons of that name.

hi welcome aboard :D Beers: and now you have your light calibre rifle you can start looking for something a bit more in the medium range :E Big Grin: oh and good you put New Jersey ,as when i am in the states it nearly ends up in an argument with some people when they ask where i am from, and i say Jersey. this leads to "no your not you dont sound like it"!! and i say i didnt say New Jersey i said Jersey , and they say yes but you dont sound like you are from there.........:E Doh:so repeat this same conversation a few times :A Bang Head:...till i eventually i give in and have to give a geography lesson, which as geography doesnt seem to be taught in usa schools too much is also a mission ......so after the 3rd or so time each trip of this, i just say zambia as some know where africa is ;) :D Cheers:
