in Ural;Russia, a hunter shot an boar with 500kg.
Unbelievable.
But I know from 350 KG Boars in Persia

That pig is on a hill way in front of the guy. The head just looks too big for an 1100 lb body, its big, but i dont know about 500kg. I hope it is that big, but i have seen / pulled this trick to many times on friends of mine.:D

FYI, that is not me but photos from the AH archives.

My tusks are much bigger!:D They make the Kilimanjaro bull looks like an infant.:ROFLMAO:

I don' t belive that.
OK ,the perspective is good
But boars in that country can be giants.
And the car and the garages are in a horizontal line,I dont see a hill.
A pig goes mostly in the wide not so much in the high.
This pig has 600 kg, so his owner said to the press.
It looks defently not bigger than the wild one.

sorry, but the pic in the OP is greatly exaggerated. as the others have said the guy is clearly far behind the animal. the camera is also likely very close and set to take a wide angle shot.

this is hard work.
Here a wild boar ,I shot him in the moonlight during a stalk at midnight for 4 weeks.
A fantastic expirience.
But 80 kg clear on the hook, so I guess, almost 120kg liveweight is strong enough.
Best of it was,a butcher made over 56 shells of Leberkäs' for our familys.
A bavarian speciality :)

Good pig, I have killed a lot of feral pigs here in North Carolina. ( bow ) only killed one in the 500 LBS range ,shot him at 415 pm ,hunting by myself, out of the woods and in the cooler 1130 pm. the little ones are a lot easier.
Never have hunted the European Boars , but would love too . Forrest
 
These mythical 1000 lb wild boar pop up periodically - always a photo without verifiable provenance. A 300 lb European boar is a huge creature and larger than most black bear killed in this country.
