Plains game by relive starting to be done

IMG-20151105-WA0005.jpg

So I haven't wanted to put up pictures of unfinished work, but in this case I had to. I had seen pictures of the little guys individually, but not all together. I couldn't be more excited!!! There are still finishing touches to be done and the base will be built up with rock and grass, but wow!!!

As Bill has said, Paul's communication has been excellent and he has made any adjustments that I've asked for. He has had some great ideas with some other stuff too, but that will have to wait. :)

Again, I'm just thrilled with what I've seen!

Lion sold separately.... :)

100% agree Royal!
Paul has been top shelf all the way. I'd recommend him to anyone wanting some taxidermy done. He sent me these pics yesterday and gave a full rundown on the timing of our shipment.

They look great so far buddy! Can't wait to see the finished product. I really want to see his habitat work on this base.

I love them all. Royal that steenbuck is just amazing and the rest are all good trophies to. Paul has made them all look amazing. You have a great start to that tiny ten group

Then that monkey is over the top rockjockey. Seeing that work will make me take a monkey and baboon next trip to have done.

Royal you just dont know what I look like with out a pink shirt on anymore but that was a good one. Just another I will add to my list for payback you have coming.LOL

I'm really impressed with the way it is turning out. And I really like the duiker too. I'm not always a big fan of them mounted, but this one is turning out great. Don't forget that Grysbok is Sharpes, not Cape. Ironically, those two inch horns qualify for the "biggest" trophy I've ever taken.

And you know I couldn't resist the monkey. :)

wow! cant wait to see what he does with my two small ones! all looks great! I may have just found my new taxidermist!

I saw some full mount blue duiker that he did. You won't be disappointed. I can tell you that, and the price is right.

well the first crate is in from relive. Dam was I happy to pick it up and get it home. So many of my friends from here have seen the lioness and other animals when stopping by relive in the last few month.

The trip to new york stank just like any trip there with traffic and all the bs of going there but boy was it worth it.

Joe at coppersmith did a great job clearing the crate and for $350.00 it was worth it to me with having a lion in the crate. Very fair price for the service he gave compared to many over priced clearing agents.

In the crate was a full mount lioness,1 eland,4 springbucks,2bushbuck,2 impala,1 orbi,1 black wildebeest. So 12 animals in one crate and all came through in great shape. Cant say enough about how well pauls crew did packing the crate and using space. I have heard of places making guys use two crates with far less animals in them. Crate was all plywood and screwed together.

After getting the crate opened I was blown away by the quality of the mounts and wow does the lioness look amazing. The eland with the detail and form enlarged to show true size is awesome.

One more crate to go sometime in march when the tanned giraffe backskin comes back. Cant wait to see all my mounts back. I really need to get to work now making the room bigger and taller. Took some windows out but much more to do from making the walls taller and a all new roof style to gain the height I need.

Some picture of the crates and packing.mounts hanging on a wall for know to I get room done.

Oh and beside the room to enlarge I have all kinds of bases to build for the mounts now. The fun keeps coming even after being back from africa.LOL

Man is that eland big....

So the heck with your opinion, tell us what Dakota thought when he saw his lioness!!!

Wow thanks buddy who cares about dad right as long as the kid is happy. LOL

He loved it and look at me and said dad I can still see her when I took the shoot. She looked like that when she turned to charge and start to run my way.
We got to relive must of the hunt as we unpacked that crate. We talked about lammie and the springbucks. How he talked after I shot my impala as he start to run. It was great to have all those days hunting come back in a flash as we unloaded that crate. Priceless thoughts came flooding back to me and how proud I was when he took that cat and how he handle the whole event.

Awesome Bill....

So glad that Dakota is happy!

And ok, maybe it is nice that dad got to relive everything too. ;)

I never realized how big an eland mount actually is until you posted that picture with Dakota....

It was just over a year but it took that long because I ask for paul to do the order slowly so I could get all the money together. Still have the second half of the order to come yet but again by my choice.

The order if I wanted would have been home in 6 month. I was not in a rush and just glad paul was willing to work at my pace not his pace. I can honestly say he is one of the best I have worked with in all phases of putting the customer first.

A year from the bang to completed trophies on the wall is awesome anyway you look at it. (y)

My taxidermist still has trophies from 2005 that aren't completed! We wont mention his name :censored: Should be able to get plenty caught up this winter though. :)
